Isaac came to New York from Ghana to attend Drexel University on a partial scholarship back in 2014. When he could not afford the remainder of the tuition, he moved with some family friends in the Bronx, NY. He then joined a Rails Bootcamp course at TurnToTech, and that is where we met. I sat down next to Isaac knowing we'd be good friends.
Isaac had great big dreams and ambitions, and a real courage and fearlessness to achieve amazing things. He worked hard and was an extremely warm person with a great sense of humor.
We worked on many projects together, always talked about starting our own business as freelance web developers at our own Devshop, and we shared tons of laughs from our experience attending meetings and working on our friend's start-up business together. We were on our way. Nothing could hold us back.
But then, a couple of days ago, I received a message from his brother in China that Isaac passed away. On Easter Isaac got a terrible headache. He was then taken to the hospital, where they discovered that he was bleeding in his brain and immediately sent him to surgery. Isaac showed early signs of improvement, and even the Doctors thought he would recover soon. The Doctors and Nurses worked hard to save Isaac, and the Family cheered Isaac for recovery and prayed tirelessly, but unfortunately, Isaac had to leave us .
Isaac's parents live in Ghana, and need help to send Isaac home to his Mother, his Father, his Big Brother, and Big Sister. Isaac was the star of the family, as his Brother Thomas describes him. Please help us with a donation so that the family can properly say goodbye to their star.
