Our friend Cassandra was diagnosed with breast cancer in April of this year. It has turned out to be Stage 3 invasive breast cancer.
She will start chemotherapy August 6. The medication to help heal her body after chemo sessions (specifically, Granulocyte-colony stimulating factor (GCSF) will aid in preventing infection and fevers caused by chemotherapy (thanks to low white blood cell counts).
The VICTORY (victoryassist.ca) is covering a portion of this medication charge, but not all. While we continue looking into this and other coverages, we are also asking others to think of her.
Cassandra and her family thank every effort from the bottom of their hearts.
