Tragic Loss of a Beloved Daughter

Hello my name is Denise Weeks and I am a very good friend of this family.
On June 6th, the world tragically and senselessly lost to the most loving mother and beloved daughter, Christine Diles, when she was killed by her husband during a domestic altercation. Christine left behind two small children, Christopher who turns two in August and Carley who turns one in September. While Christine’s parents were dealing with the tragic loss of their only daughter, and planning her funeral arrangements, their grandchildren were taken by the State and placed in temporary foster care. Scott and Emily obtained a lawyer and fought for custody; ultimately, by the grace of God, they were given permanent custody of the grandchildren on June 21st. Unfortunately, Christine hadn’t earned enough credit to qualify for social security, so there are absolutely no benefits available to the children. Scott and Emily took on the responsibility of raising their daughter’s children without hesitation, nor reservation. They are both too humble and proud to ask for help; however, many have asked what they could do to help and how they could donate, so I’ve taken it upon myself to set up this GoFundMe Fundraiser on their behalf.
Funds will be used to offset funeral expenses, legal fees as they pursue adoption of the children to ensure they never return to their mother’s killer, and helping provide for Christopher and Carley during this most tragic time of their lives."
This request means a lot to me because I am very close to the family; like a family member. I have watched Christine grow up into the lovely lady that she was with her own children. Christine was an only child to Scott and Emily. They are very proud parents and grandparents, I know they do not want to feel like they are burdening anyone with their issues but I know that this is not a burden to anyone it is a tragic and unfortunate even this money will surely help them to fight for those beautiful children. I ask that you show compassion for them and aid me in helping to offset their cost.
I am so thankful for your kind generosity and I know that Emily and Scott are too. Christine is looking down from heaven on all of the blessing that you have bestowed upon her family and will know that your donations will help support her two beautiful children.
