Diane Atkins Fight Against Cancer

Meet my mom Diane Atkins.  She has bravely been fighting Ovarian and Uterine Cancer going on her fourth year.  Each year she has to meet medical deductibles and still try to maintain a quality of life that can be poor while under going treatment. 

Getting around is getting a little harder on her.  We are hoping to raise $5000.00.  This is to help her get a portable electric wheelchair. We would like her to  enjoy getting around her community and on good days live life without being winded from having to walk from the car to her destination.  Also, to help alleviate the stress of all the medical bills she faces each year.

Her current medication is not working and her options of treatment are becoming more limited.  Recently a good friend of hers talked about his experience in TX with one of the best Cancer Centers in the Nation.  (Thank you Russell) We are hoping that if we are able to raise the money she will allow us to take her to Texas and be seen by some of the best Cancer Doctor's in the World.  We love our Mom and continue to pray for her to be in remission.  But until that day comes we just want her to a have great quaility of life. 

Just a little note about my mom.  She had been a daycare provider for over 20 years.  She has been known as Aunt Diane to just about every child in her small community of Eau Claire, MI.  She would give her shirt off her back if it means helping somone in need.  She doesn't like to feel sorry for herself and had been a very hard worker all of her life.  She was a single mom of four kids at one point in her life.  Please help us  reach our goal.  On behalf of Diane Atkins children we thank you in advance for any love and support you can help provide to her.
