Ayla Dickey Funerary Fund

Hello all, On October 29th, 2020, Ayla Guvenoz-Dickey, my step-mother, contracted the Covid-19 virus. On November the 19th, in the early hours of the morning, Ayla finished her fight with the virus, and passed away as a result of the many different complications that this wretched disease inflicts on the most vulnerable of our society. We are obviously extremely and deeply saddened over the loss of Ayla, and are concerned about the upcoming financial burden that Jeff, her husband and my father, will incur as a result of this. At the moment, we are not sure what the end-cost will be when all medical expenses are paid and funerary services have been conducted, but we know it will be a cost that isn’t easily afforded by anyone. Much less someone who will be limited in their ability to work while grieving, and also still recovering from Covid-19 himself. We are humbly asking for any financial assistance that anyone would be willing to give in order to offset these substantial costs, and allow Jeff to fully focus on healing in this moment, as he has described it as “the most painful and difficult part of my life.” We intend to use every penny to pay the medical and funerary expenses associated with Ayla’s passing, and anything left over will be donated to University Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. We believe they did absolutely everything possible to sustain her, and we are eternally grateful for their impressive communication and ability to provide comfort, even when they were never able to speak to Jeff in person due to Covid. Our family will be grateful for any assistance we receive, and we thank you for even considering giving to our fund.
