Young and Strong
Donazione protetta
In December of 2015 Jill Young was diagnosed with a Grade 2 diffuse astrocytoma after having a seizure . Jill lives in Vermont and was quickly transferred to Maryland to undergo a craniotomy to reduce the size of the "tennis ball" size tumor. Jill continued to receive treatment at Johns Hopkins and has been making amazing progress in the past few months and was preparing to return to Vermont to continue care and return to the daily lives of her two loving daughters, Catherine and Meg and their wonderful father, Brad.
Unfortunately, Jill had a set back last week and the Drs now think there is a possibility that the tumor is now a higher grade. Jill is scheduled for her second Craniotomy on May 31st at Johns Hopkins Medical Center. There is a small possibility that the changes in the tumor are a result of scar tissue and we are all praying for that outcome.
This has all been very difficult for everyone and Jill still suffers from vision loss on her right side and some speech and cognitive delays. Her road to recovery will now be longer and we would like to get her some alternative treatments as well as help with the traveling expenses for her girls. Jill will also need care when she eventually returns to Vermont and we would like to help her to do that. Many people have been a tremendous help and support and are asking to do more so we decided to set up this account for her.
Thank you for all of your continued prayers, thoughts and love.
