Steven's Memorial Services

On May 6, 2016 my father, Steven, passed away after a grueling eight month battle with stage IV lung cancer.

 

He had a huge spirit that shined on everyone he met. Growing up, many of my friends called him Dad and he made us all feel so loved. Besides my Dad being my biological parent, I have always had a deep spiritual connection with him because I was born on his birthday 20 years ago. He was one of the most humble Dads in that he always insisted that it was “my” birthday and not “our” birthday. My Dad has been my best friend from the beginning- from sharing his love for coffee by introducing me to Starbucks as soon as I could walk to the “daddy-daughter” dates that my sister and I were raised on. He loved both my sister and I in every way possible.



In the past eight months, my dad completed chemotherapy and radiation treatments but the cancer proved to be too aggressive. My dad leaves behind me, my mother, and my 14 year-old sister. We are hoping to raise enough funds to give him the memorial service that he deserves to be remembered by. He was loved by many and was able to touch many lives during his time on Earth.

 

The money raised will be used for his cremation, a memorial service, a celebration of life following, and hopefully a reunion with his mother in the San Francisco Bay via a memorial at sea.

We are overwhelmed by the love and support that we have received so far and appreciate any kind of donation toward my father’s memorial services.
