2019 Upper Perk Hometown Fireworks

Donation protected
Dear Local Residents, Businesses, Organizations, & Municipalities,

For more than 40 years, over 8,000 area residents annually gather to watch the Upper Perk Hometown Fireworks. This year’s fireworks display will be held on Thursday evening, July 4th, at the New Goshenhoppen Park in East Greenville. As you know, an event like this requires significant resources and community support, without which we could not continue this tradition. Area businesses and organizations throughout the Upper Perkiomen Valley have always helped fund this event to ensure residents can express their national pride, patriotism, and sense of community. We sincerely hope you will continue your generous giving so we can raise the money necessary to conduct this year’s event.

The Upper Perk Rotary Club has again partnered with Love Upper Perk to host this event. The Upper Perk Rotary is a community-based organization made up of area residents who volunteer to support local projects that strengthen the community. To date, the group has provided soil remediation for the community garden, provided holiday gifts for three area families through the Open Link, conducted road clean-ups along PA 663, hosted 1st Monday meals, and has purchased new public access computers and an early literacy station for the Upper Perkiomen Valley Library. All funds collected above the event cost and through parking donations will benefit the Upper Perk Rotary to enable them to support their projects focused on youth leadership development, international youth exchange, and student scholarships.

All businesses/organizations donating at least $100 are welcome to display a banner advertising their company or organization along the fencing around New Goshenhoppen Park. Non-profit organizations are welcome to set up a display table as well. In addition, your business will be listed as a sponsor in the Town & Country Newspaper.

As the Upper Perk Rotary gets more involved with this event we are hoping to eventually bring it back to a full day event provided we receive the support that is required to do so. This year we plan to start the day off with the Fireman's Water Battles as well as a Community Yard Sale/Flea Market from 8am-Noon. Many other events are being planned for the day. This year may not be a full day of events but we are planning for more than the past year or two.
