Jen & Nat - Volunteering in Nepal
Donation protected
Jen & Nat are Physiotherapy students who are going to be volunteering in hospitals in Kathmandu, Nepal this summer.
Nepal is a beautiful vibrant country but has very poor healthcare services. Physiotherapy is a much needed but poorly resourced service in an area that battles many long-term diseases such as cerebral palsy and polio, conditions we are fortunate enough to not see often here in the UK.
Sadly, a highly restricted healthcare budget means only basic healthcare services are funded in Nepal, and Physiotherapy is often neglected.
By volunteering in one of the capital's hospitals, we will be helping to improve the quality of life of adults and children with life-long debilitating conditions, as well as working with those that are acutely ill, and in outpatient clinics providing support and treatment for those with muscular injuries and fractures.
We really want to make a difference to this wonderful country, but we need your help!
Anything you can donate, not matter how small, will go a long way to help. Thank you :)
