Rachel Goes To Dream College: Juilliard

Ever since I was a little girl, whenever people would asked me “What do you want to do when you grow up,” I would say I want to go to Juilliard. I find it funny that back then, I did not have much knowledge on the extent of Juilliard, but it was always my dream school. I was fortunate to get accepted into the Juilliard Summer Intensive 2018 where I trained there, in New York for 3 weeks. During this experience I met so many amazing people, improved as a person and an artist, and learned a wide range of valuable information. As soon as I arrived, I felt at home. Each day, I grew to love Juilliard more and more. I knew instantly, that this was for sure the place I wanted to attend college. I decided to follow my heart and audition for the school. Knowing that the dance department only accepts 24 dancers each year, I was nervous about my chances of getting in but I decided to go for it anyway. I was accepted into the Juilliard dance department as an incoming freshman March 20th, 2019 ! Getting accepted was an absolute dream come true ! My decision to commit has also come with having financial obligations of course. However, I will not let finances be my reason of not following my dreams. I am trusting that God will provide and as long as I continue to work hard, there will be a way. I have made this go fund me to raise money to help me withstand moving to New York and attending my dream college: Juilliard ! Anything is greatly appreciated ❤️
