Some children have never known what it feels like to be loved by a mom or dad, or maybe they have, but with the passing of their parents, they are left on their own. Helping for four years, this is not a large organization, but a small family with extraordinary hearts who have made it their mission to care for children who have no one else. There are no admin fees. Just good people helping children. These children dream of things many of us take for granted: a hot meal, clean water, a toothbrush, an education, a hug, and a safe place where they know they belong. Together, we can build that place. Our dream is a Community Center where children are welcomed. That's why we're launching 1,000 Hearts of Hope. 1,000 people to give $10 a month for just 10 months once or a one-time donation of $100. Your generosity will help build a Community Center that will serve children for years to come, while providing food and essential supplies during its early years. Some have asked why Uganda when there is need locally. My answer is simple. "A hungry child is a hungry child, no matter where in the world they open their eyes. Compassion doesn't have borders." I've known these children for four years. I watched them laugh, sing, and dream during our Zoom calls until the cost of internet and transportation became too great. Food had to come first. That told me everything I needed to know. I’ve done what I can alone and with the help of a few great friends, but there’s a bigger way to help, and that’s with 1,000 generous hearts.
