Room Escapes Are Everywhere. We KNOW.
Hi! We are Pebbles and James, and we're not trying to brag, but we think our new room escape concept is all that and a bag of chips. Welcome to...
If you've never done a Room Escape attraction before, it's very simply. You and your friends (or maybe strangers) are locked into a series of rooms filled with puzzles and challenges. You have one hour to complete the tasks ahead of you and esacpe, or you fail, and live in the 90's forever. It's the BOMB, yo.
We're BIG fans of room escapes, but we've noticed that a lot of them focus so much on the intensity and complicated nature of the puzzles, they leave out some of the whimsy and fun. It's pretty WHACK.
We want to create an escape based around themes of the 90's, with three interconnected rooms that focus on entertainment, media and cultural events from the decade that managed to bring us both Britney Spears AND 2Pac.
"1990's Breakout" will be located in Philadelphia. It will utilize audio and video clues in addition to visual puzzles. You'll be fully immersed in a 90's environment where each new clue and object will need to be used to lead you to your next, and ultimately you'll escape back into the BUGG'N world of 2017 (and beyond.)
WHAT OUR GOAL AMOUNT ENTAILS:
To set up a proper room escape requires some of the most basic small business necessities including:
* rental of a commercial property and insurance
* business registry and licensing
* a DOPE website and web presence
* employee salaries to operate the game (DUH)
* an audio/visual setup and installation
Not to mention the awesome 90's decor, memorabilia and items that we'll need to be GOOD TO GO!
This is a real dream of ours come to fruition, but we'd rather utilize support from the community to get going rather than get money from investors whom we'd have to pay back. We want to create an adventure that will be OFF THE HEASY!
Our goal is to have an open and operating room escape by APRIL 1st, 2017. If we reach our fundraising goal and cannot meet this opening date, all donors will be notified in advance.
WE PLEDGE WITH FULL TRANSPARENCY THAT IF ANY OCCURANCE SHOULD PREVENT US FROM OPENING OUR BUSINESS AND PROVIDNG THE PROMISED REWARDS, ALL DONORS WILL BE FULLY REFUNDED BY NO LATER THAN JUNE OF 2017.
NOTE - tier based rewards are contingent on dates availability after opening, which are first come/first served. Participants in group packages must all attend on the same evening and CANNOT be divided.
