A new premises for the Dublin Food Coop! HELP US GROW!

A NEW HOME FOR THE DUBLIN FOOD CO-OPERATIVE IN KILMAINHAM

The Dublin Food Co-operative has purchased a premises of our own in the heart of Kilmainham! We are just across from Kilmainham Jail and right beside The Lime Tree Cafe.

For several years the Dublin Food Coop has looked for a place to establish a more permanent home. After a huge amount of hard work by dedicated staff and volunteers, we have finally secured a home.

We will also be running a click and collect shop for bulk orders from early November. Members can order products in bulk on our website and collect at our new warehouse in Parkwest!

We are delighted to share this news and we hope that all of our friends and followers will be as happy as we are that we finally have a place to call our own for our community. We have a long way to go before are ready to move in and we still have to raise funds for our fit out!

FUNDRAISING FOR THE FIT-OUT AND THE MOVING COSTS

We had an ambitious target of €20,000 to cover these costs. We have raised 7,500 so far through donations and selling lifetime memberships - we've changed our goal to 12,500 so our friends can keep up to date on out progress.

GROWING COMMUNITY

Established in 1983, the Dublin Food Cooperative is a member owned consumer cooperative based in Dublin city. We are a  community that has formed one of the longest lasting and most powerful sustainable food movements in Ireland. We are a community who wants to continue making an even greater impact on the food sovereignty and sustainable food movement. With the stability of a long term home we know that we can make this happen!

INVEST IN YOUR CO-OP

We have an ambitious goal to raise another 12,500 in donations from members and supporters by September 30th.
Any donation large or small will make a huge difference to us :)

- Every person that donates over €25 will receive a surprise gift from our coop shop
- Every person that donations over €50 you will receive a limited edition Coop tshirt or totebag!
- If you donate €350 you will receive a lifetime membership for the Dublin Food Co-op!
- If you donate €500 you will receive a lifetime membership for you and your household!

Please spread the word - tell your friends, family and neighbours about our campaign! HELP US GROW!

We will be having our first 'Kilmainham Co-op Social' this Friday evening at 8pm at Patriots Inn - our new local!

We are long overdue a Co-op social and what better place to do it than in our new neighbourhood.

We are also coming close to the end of our HELP US GROW fundraising campaign so we decided to make our last fundraising event fun!
This event will be an opportunity for us to say a big thank you to everyone who has donated to our campaign.

We will be selling raffle tickets and there will be some great Co-op prizes, we will also be selling co-op lifetime members so if you haven't got one yet there is still time.

Many thanks to the Patriot Inn for letting us host our event. They have kindly offered to cater for us, so expect a good platter. There will be live music too!

All members and friends of the Co-op welcome. If you are living in the area come and say hello!
