Cycling Eurasia for charity!

***EQUIPMENT FUNDRAISER***
On 1st January 2019, we will set off on a bike ride from Singapore to France, taking us over the Himalayas and 16,500km of roads, including mountain passes of over 5000m! We will be documenting the whole trip by vlog, blog and photography. This is aid of the charity Newlife, who offer mobility equipment to young people who need it most.
In order to undertake this monster-ride, Pierre and I (the team!) will need bikes that are easy on the bums and can handle this huge distance without falling apart in the middle of nowhere. We also need clothing and equipment that will allow us to cycle and sleep in -10 degrees in the Himalayas without becoming blocks of ice on wheels. The money raised through this fundraiser will contribute to our technical equipment needs, which will dramatically improve our chances of success!
I'm a student and Pierre is a seasonal worker in NZ, so neither of us currently has the finances to buy good, reliable equipment. We will never renounce our goal, but reliable equipment will be paramount to our success. It is for this reason that we're asking the good people of this world to help us, in whatever way you can, to contribute to our adventure.
The good equipment will allow us to tackle the challenging stages of the ride with enhanced confidence, allowing us to better publicise our endeavours, share our moments with the world and ultimately raise more money for Newlife.
We would both be unequivocally grateful for any support that you might be able to offer, in helping us to somehow get ourselves back to France and raise as many funds as possible for Newlife!
