Seventeen exceptional students from South Shore International College Prep (SSICP)—Chicago Public Schools’ only qualifying team—have earned a place at the prestigious HOSA International Leadership Conference in Tennessee this June. These 17 students advanced through a highly competitive state-level process, placing in the top three of their categories. For many of the students, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to represent their school and community on a global stage—yet financial barriers threaten to keep them from attending. These students deserve more, and that’s why we are raising the funds to send the South Shore International College Prep HOSA team to Nashville.

These students come from underserved neighborhoods on Chicago’s southeast side, where opportunities like this are rare but deeply transformative. Attending the HOSA International Conference would allow them to engage with peers from across the world, gain exposure to medical careers, and be celebrated for their academic excellence.

Zebralter Medical, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to bridging the STEM gap, is proud to advocate for these future healthcare leaders at South Shore International College Prep. We are seeking community support to help cover travel, lodging and meals.
