Support the power of mentorship.
In celebration of our 20th anniversary, we’re organizing a series of very special sessions in 2021 & 2022 highlighting some of the most critical issues of our time. We’ll be working with youth in our own backyard, exploring issues of race and community in Annapolis, Maryland. We’ll offer a month-long mentoring opportunity for refugee youth in upstate New York. And we’ll be listening to orphan voices in India, allowing their unique perspectives to be heard.
We’re asking friends and supporters to join us and help make these life-changing events possible.

WHAT DO WE DO?
We use the tools of the journalist; the word and the photograph, to help young people tell their stories.
HOW DO WE DO IT?
We bring world-class mentorship and dynamic educational opportunities to children who are rarely exposed to this kind of immersive experience.
WHO IS INVOLVED?
We work with youth all over the world, from our neighborhoods here in Annapolis and Baltimore, to northern India, Colombia, and across the United States. We’ve implemented more than 150 projects in the past 20 years, all tailored to the communities in which we serve. Our partnerships in these communities, from B.L.A.C.K. Excel in Annapolis to the Annenberg Space for Photography, are invaluable.
