Terrence McHugh is fundraising

Our 4x4x48 Challenge, Benefiting VVP
Hello, all! My name is Terry McHugh, and along with my friends David Tsang and Sam Hyde, I am participating in the 2021 Virtual 4x4x48 Challenge (linked here). For the challenge, all three of us will be traveling to Myrtle Beach, SC, where we will run 4 miles every 4 hours, for 48 hours straight. By the end of the challenge, we will have run 48 miles in two days.
The 4x4x48 was first conceptualized by the former Navy SEAL, David Goggins. Because of the challenge's ties to the military, we felt that this would be a great opportunity to fundraise for a nonprofit organization with ties to veterans and the military.
The Vail Veterans Program ("VVP") provides therapeutic recreational programming, wellness events, and empowerment training to United States military personnel who have been severely injured while serving our country. Most veterans who participate in these programs come directly from: Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD; Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX, and the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, CA. Vail Veterans Program events are provided to military injured and their families entirely free of charge. Through my job, I've seen the how programs like VVP can impact our nation's wounded warriors by promoting recovery and participation in physical activities. Programs like these can go a long way towards helping to promote quality of life for these individuals, who have sacrificed so much!
We have set a goal of $3000 for this fundraising effort, and all money raised will go directly to the organization! More information about VVP can be found on their website, including the organization's financial statements . Please join us in supporting VVP, and follow us as we document our 4x4x48 journey on Instagram (team account linked below)!
ABOUT US:

Terry McHugh, David Tsang, and Sam Hyde graduated from the University of Georgia in 2019, where they were teammates on the University’s club rowing team. Since college, the friends have kept in touch using various fitness tracking applications, where they challenged each other in various physical activities. In 2021, David discovered the 4x4x48 Challenge, a modified ultramarathon. As they planned the logistics of training for the challenge, Terry, David, and Sam decided to use their participation as an opportunity to raise funds for an organization promoting military and veterans’ health.
