The Institute of Urban Living (Hyacinth's Place- A Project of the Iul)

Hyacinth’s Place is a permanent, affordable housing program in Washington, DC that provides comprehensive therapeutic and social reintegration services for homeless women with a mental diagnosis. In collaboration with the DC Department of Behavioral Health, we create an environment to nurture and support each woman’s recovery—focusing on emotional, financial, and vocational stability.
