The Living Liver Foundation is dedicated to eliminating the wait list for patients waiting for the availability of a kidney or a liver. We advocate for changes in state legislation to remove financial barriers for living donors. In Michigan, we introduced and passed legislation moving the state grade from an F to a B in protecting living donors. We honor living donors and medical professionals that make the magic of transplant happen. We educate on the power and possibility of living organ donation. We inspire others to become living donors. We launched National Living Donor Day celebrated on April 11 of every year. We hold Living Donor Awareness Games at MLB, MiLB and college baseball games across the country to engage others in our mission to get to zero wait list.
