I miss my precious mama every day. With the holidays fast approaching, this Thanksgiving feels especially poignant, as it’s the first without Nona. Thanksgiving is a time for reflection and gratitude, and I want to honor her memory by spreading awareness and building support for a cause that held deep meaning for her.

For the next two weeks, KCI, two of my sons—Wells and Knox with their companies, Kermit Labs and Banyan Motors—and Wells’s girlfriend, Jourdan Sloane, are coming together to raise funds for the Houston Area Parkinson’s Society (HAPS). HAPS is an organization that provided Nona and our family with unwavering support during her journey with Parkinson’s. This organization became a source of strength and hope, and our family is forever grateful for the role they played in Nona’s life.

My grandmother got Parkinson’s in her 70s. The story I can tell you about her is amazing yet funny. Well in 2021 I got diagnosed with Parkinson’s. It was a surprise but I’ve learned how to over come it. What helps to make it better is exercising what better way than walking dogs. I would love you to donate to Haps , money goes to help with expenses that Parkinson’s can bring, as well as helping on finding ways to make Parkinson’s better. And Happs help to teach people with Parkinson’s how to make things better, help us s and our care takers to help their loved ones.
