The Covid pandemic has led to distinct changes in education from the classrooms to a virtual world. As the whole world navigates through this digital world in education, Kerala has embarked on a mission to provide access to virtual learning. But unfortunately, financial setbacks and the COVID crisis have made online education inaccessible to several children across the State.
FOMAA has been selected to be a part of the "Vidyakiranam: Bridging the Digital Divide," an initiative of the Government of Kerala to address the dire need to enable all students to continue their education using technology.
Kerala has always been at the forefront with quality education and 100% literacy. However, the COVID situation has interrupted all opportunities to learning, and it is high time that our children in Kerala, especially in the low socio-economic population, get access to their education virtually. It is our responsibility to shape these future citizens. We can help them be successful by providing laptops and digital devices to access and utilize virtual learning opportunities.

ഫോമാ കേരള സർക്കാരിന്റെ വിദ്യകിരണം മിഷനുമായി കൈകോർക്കുന്നു.
കോവിഡ് എന്ന മഹാമാരി വിദ്യാര്ഥികളുടെ പഠനരീതിയിൽ വലിയ മാറ്റങ്ങൾക്കാണ് വഴിവെച്ചത്. കേരള സംസ്ഥാനം ഓൺലൈൻ പഠനത്തിന് സൗകര്യങ്ങളൊരുക്കിക്കൊണ്ടു ഒരു ദൗത്യം ആരംഭിച്ചുവെങ്കിലും സാമ്പത്തിക പരാധീനതയും, കോവിഡ് മഹാമാരി സൃഷ്ടിച്ച പ്രതിസന്ധിയും മൂലം എല്ലാവർക്കും ഓൺലെൻ പഠന പദ്ധതിയെ പൂർണ്ണമായി പ്രയോജനപ്പെടുത്താൻ കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ല. നല്ലൊരു ശതമാനം വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾക്കും കംപ്യൂട്ടറുകളോ, മറ്റു ഉപകരണങ്ങളോ ഇല്ല. ഈ കുറവ് പരിഹരിക്കുന്നതിനും എല്ലാ വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾക്കും വിവര സാങ്കേതിക വിദ്യകളുടെ സഹായത്തോടെ പഠനം തുടരാനും, കേരള സർക്കാർ തുടങ്ങിയ "വിദ്യാകിരണം: ബ്രിഡ്ജിങ് ദി ഡിജിറ്റൽ ഡിവൈഡ്" എന്ന സംരംഭത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമാകാൻ ഫോമയെ തെരെഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുകയാണ്.
ഗുണനിലവാരമുള്ള വിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തിലും 100% സാക്ഷരതയിലും കേരളം എപ്പോഴും മുൻപന്തിയിലാണ്. എന്നിരുന്നാലും, കോവിഡ് സാഹചര്യം കേരളത്തിലെ നമ്മുടെ കുട്ടികൾക്ക്, പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് സാമൂഹ്യമായും-സാമ്പത്തികമായും പിന്നോക്കം നിൽക്കുന്ന വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾക്ക് പഠനത്തിനുള്ള അവസരങ്ങളെ തടസ്സപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു. എല്ലാവർക്കും ഓൺലെൻ പഠന പദ്ധതിയെ പ്രയോജനപ്പെടുത്താൻ കമ്പ്യൂട്ടറുകളും, ടാബ്‌ലെറ്റുകളും എത്തിക്കുകയെന്നത് രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ ഭാവി പൗരന്മാരെ വാർത്തെടുക്കാനും
ഗുണനിലവാരമുള്ള വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ രീതി നിലനിൽക്കണമെന്നും ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്ന ഓരോ പൗരന്റെയും കടമയാണ്.
"വിദ്യാകിരണം- ബ്രിഡ്ജിങ് ദി ഡിജിറ്റൽ ഡിവൈഡ്" പദ്ധതിയിലേക്ക് ഉദാരമായി സംഭാവന ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ട് നമുക്ക് കൈകോർക്കാം. നമ്മൾ നൽകുന്ന ഒരു ഡോളർ സംഭാവന പോലും ഈ താഴ്ന്ന വരുമാനമുള്ള കുടുംബങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നുള്ള ഒരു കുട്ടിയെ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ അവസരങ്ങൾ ലഭ്യമാക്കുന്നതിന് സഹായിക്കും. വിദ്യാഭാസം എന്നാൽ ഒരു കുട്ടിയുടെ വികാസമെന്നതിനേക്കാൾ ഒരു സമൂഹത്തിന്റെ പുരോഗതിയുടെ അളവുകോലാണ്. ഓരോ കുടുംബത്തിന്റെയും സംരക്ഷണമാണ്. നമ്മൾ നൽകുന്ന ഓരോ ഡോളറും പ്രതിസന്ധിയിലായ ഒരു കുടുംബത്തിനുള്ള രക്ഷയും രാജ്യത്തേക്കുള്ള നിക്ഷേപവുമാണ്
വിദ്യാകിരണം പദ്ധതിയിലൂടെ അറിവിന്റെ ലോകത്തേക്ക് നമുക്ക് പ്രതീക്ഷയുടെ പാലങ്ങളാവാം.
