Dan Farrell is an avid bike enthusiast. Over the past 60+ years, Dan has enjoyed riding for recreational purposes locally, across the United States, and a few places abroad.



In the fall of 2019, Dan approached the One Orange Foundation and had expressed interest in doing an epic ride to raise money for impoverished and/or orphaned children. We asked Dan if he was up for virtually riding halfway around the world to a small community in India. With excitement and resolve, he was ready to take on the challenge.

Since the beginning of 2020, in the cold month of January, Dan began this epic journey by getting up in the early hours of the morning to ride anywhere from 60 to 80 miles to tackle this monumental goal of riding 8000+ miles to the other side of the earth. With his GPS, he is able to keep track of every single mile. During this marathon event of 2020, he is hoping to raise $50,000 for the children at Faith in Deeds Children's Home in India. Faith In Deeds is a USA based 501(c)3 organization with all donations tax-deductible.

Every kid has a story. Elise (in the white dress) was only a few days old when she was abandoned in the middle of the night. She was weak and sick, but with tender loving care she grew to be healthy and strong. Her fun personality began shining through early on. At 5 months old she was determined to crawl and she did. She is petite but not to be underestimated. She is now finishing 1st grade and can write in 3 different languages. She loves to learn and have fun. With Elise, there is never a dull moment. She is thriving in all her spunkiness because of her big family (near and far) at the Faith In Deeds Children's Home. 

Elise's determination is evident in this video as she learns a dance by imitating the older kids. This video also shows Faith In Deeds' kids sharing their personal stories from the loss of their parents to living on the streets, but even in their heartache they have hope because of God's grace. 



Faith In Deeds Ministry is the support organization for the Children's Home in India that provides a loving home for 52 children in need. For some children it is a temporary safe place while their family is in a time of crisis and for others who are orphans the Children's Home becomes their family and is committed to giving them the skills that they need to thrive as adults.

The Children’s Home provides each child with 24/7 care including tasty, nutritious meals, Preschool - 12 education, Bible study, prayer, discipleship, medical care, and fun including pets, sports, art, music, and dance. As the children grow older, they are given leadership and outreach opportunities that equip them to make a difference in their communities. The Children's Home is working towards being self-sustaining, but currently there is a significant need for operating funds.

To maintain such quality care for this many kids is not easy. In the summer months funding is low and Faith In Deeds struggles to provide for them. Will you please join us in caring for these kids? Our goal of $30,000 goes to the Children's Home operating costs to provide housing, food, education, medical care and fun for these beautiful children.
