Hello, my name is Miguel Aguilar( Mr. Aguilar to my students) and I am an 8th grade English Teacher at Los Angeles Academy Middle School. This semester, my students have focused on trying to change the world by focusing on an important issue they believe deserves an immediate solution. I am sponsoring my student Marissa by helping them create this GoFundMe. I will let Marissa describe their goals:

Hello my name is Marissa I am a student in middle school. I am here to ask for your help. I am trying to make our air better for people because air pollution can increases the risk of respiratory infections, heart disease, stroke, and lung cancer. Also if your child has asthma it can irritate the airways, making them swell and tighten up, and cause breathing problems. My goal is to raise $10,000 so the community can have enough resources to make our air better for all children. I am planning to accomplish this goal by asking you to donate the money so that I will be able to give the money to Coalition for Clean Air, an organization that helps improve the air for your children. By donating, you are helping peoples’ health especially kids with asthma and kids that have cancer.

Hello, I am Santiago M, an 8th grader at Los Angeles Academy Middle School trying to raise money to fight a huge problem in the world, air pollution. Air pollution is a problem that happens everywhere causing pollution in the air every second as the use of non-renewable energy such as fossil fuels are polluting our very world. Air pollution can cause diseases , destroy animal habitats, and destroy our resource that we need to survive. My goal for this project is to raise at least $50,000 to help fund solutions that can reduce air pollution and provide awareness about air pollution. The charity I am funding, Coalition for Clean Air will help provide education about air pollution, spread awareness, and help with goals like reducing greenhouse gas emissions. My name is Yinnet, a student at Los Angeles Academy Middle School. I started this project to stop harmful pollutants from entering our environment and to improve public health. Outdoor air pollution from cars and other sources such as running power plants and forest fires that affect human health. I would like to raise $8090 to fund the organization, Coalition for Clean Air. This project's central goal is to enhance air quality, it will improve public health by reducing respiratory illnesses and will also make a more enjoyable and comfortable living environment for residents. Air pollution poses a major threat to human health and climate, I need your help to enhance air quality in Los Angeles so everyone can live a more healthy and sustainable lifestyle.
