This foundation played a crucial role in providing immense comfort and valuable resources to Ana and her family throughout this challenging period. Their unwavering support has made a significant difference, offering solace and assistance when it was needed most.

Renal Medullary Carcinoma [RMC] is a rare and aggressive cancer that ultimately attacks the kidney, and is associated with Sickle Cell Trait [SCT]. SCT is an inherited blood disorder leading to the production of sickle-shaped red blood cells. Approximately 7-10% of the African-American population has SCT, and it is also present in people from Latin America, Asia and the Mediterranean. However - despite testing becoming more routine - many adults do not know their status, as SCT does not always cause symptoms.

Sadly, there has been significant health disparity around RMC. Your donation will help enhance awareness, research, cancer prevention, detection, and treatment programs to end this disparity. Together, we can contribute to the quest for a CURE to RMC, and support families everywhere.
