Alan Sills Heart Attack

Well IT happened... unbelievably, a HEART ATTACK. And for a brief time, I honestly thought I was DONE. I was getting ready to teach skiing for the day and taking a warm-up run and I felt sensations I'd never felt before. For a brief time, I was not sure if I had taken my last ski run ever.

Long story short... I'm going to recover - but - I spent 2 nights in a hospital in Idaho and had a catheter stent procedure done to insert two stents in one of my heart's arteries, two ambulance rides including one over a mountain pass for 2 hours to a regional cardiac center and the list goes on. You can only imagine what the bills are going to be - and thanks to the state of health insurance today, I have a $10,500. deductible.

So... I'm reaching out and saying HELP! I shared my story on my website (rvacrossamerica.net) in my most recent post and hope it helps to educate others as I almost "blew it off" (when I felt like **** on Tuesday Feb 12 when it happened), and was going to stay at work (I'm a ski instructor)... had I done that, the ER nurse in Jackson said, I very well could have faced "sudden cardiac death", she even called me a "ticking timebomb" as they rushed to get me to a cardiac specialty center in Idaho.  Any help towards meeting these unexpected bills would be a God-send. Signs of Spring and a Strong Recovery...

Spring is just 2 weeks away but I awoke to heavy
WET snow that was adding to the already immense
accumulations here. As I'm writing this, the snow
squall has ended and the
SUN is actually appearing!

I'm due to "hit the road" with my 5th wheel in
just about 3 weeks time
and if I had to move today, it would be an
impossibility! You'll see in the photos and video
in my most recent post
( http://rvacrossamerica.net/recovery)

Fortunately, we're due to get
well above freezing today (high 30's) and most of
the next several will see above freezing weather
for part of the day.

The sun and warmth will HOPEFULLY save me the
trouble of climbing upon the roof to clear snow -
and that's a GOOD thing as I'm still recovering
from my HEART ATTACK. My latest post -
http://RVAcrossAmerica.net/recovery -
shares several insights and things I've learned
- things that may help YOU or someone you love as

I'm also still facing financial challenges as I'm
facing about
$10,000. in medical bills that are not covered by
my insurance carrier - its the deductible. When
you visit my post, if you're moved and able to do
so, please click through to my gofundme campaign
to assist.

Thanks and have a great day

I posted an update at http://rvAcrossAmerica.net/winterheartattack - I focused in upon some things I've learned when the heart attack occurred - things that may have kept me ALIVE as a result of what I chose to do.

I have skied 8 days since the heart attack (and now rested for the past 3). I'm feeling good.

I went to a rehab MD yesterday and passed my EKG while working out on a tread mill.
