Hello,
My name is Aaron Baune. I'm currently in my Junior year at McMinnville High School, McMinnville Oregon. I have played three years of Varsity Basketball for MHS. My sophomore year I was 2nd team all league in the Greater Valley Conference and my team's most valuable player.
Last year was asked to play on 3 different AAU teams. Decided on Elite 24, an AAU team out of Clackamas. Elite 24 is about "Toughness, sacrifice, desire, will, determination, and the never ending desire to Improve. Their staff consists of College coaches, former coaches, and coaches who work out NBA players. Elite 24 focus is on skill and player development where they will continue to expand my game. They also run the program like a college and pro team. Another important factor with Elite 24 is they have a very large number of players playing college ball.
Elite 24 asked me to play on the National team , instead of local. This is only offered to a select few players and would open a lot of opportunities for me. The national team has tournaments all over the nation. Including Boston this year, giving me more opportunity to be noticed by recruiters on the east coast. Last years participation in AAU really gave me significant improvement in my abilities, including aggressiveness, team leadership, and a strong desire to do my best. To help me reach my goal of playing college ball. Elite 24 keeps close eye on us and also makes sure daily we have study hall to keep up our grades. Which is another goal I am working hard on and succeeding, in keeping my grade point average at a 3.5 or higher.
This year I was named first team all-league in the Greater Valley Conference, and again voted MVP on my team. My season average of 18 points and 10 rebounds per game placed me at 20th in the state of Oregon for shooting and 4th for rebounding.
My goal is to play basketball at D1 College level. Majoring in physical therapy, sports science. Elite 24 has really helped me to improve my game, so felt it was important for me to continue on the AAU circuit to continue advancing my skills and personal growth. To be seen by as many college recruiters as possible. Participating in this program requires paying fees for the initial cost to join the AAU circuit, air fare, tournament costs, lodging, & food. Asking for financial assistance is not an easy thing for me to do but the expense is high. Elite 24 is a non-profit organization, so any donation or sponsorship would be a tax deduction for you or your company.
Any donation amount is greatly appreciated and will help me reach my goal of participating in the Elite 24 program. I have several tournaments through April, May, and July. June we take a break from AAU so we can participate in our High School team's summer league basketball. So getting donations to use for May and July would be very helpful and appreciated. My mom had money saved up to pay for the initial joining fee and April tournaments, but once her funds are gone we will be relying on donations. Joining AAU costs $2000, then each tournament costs different amounts. Depending on airfare, duration of tournament, hotel fees, tournament fees, food and so on.
If you wish to check out Elite 24, they have a web page "Elite24basketball.com" You can also see my highlights in games on "Aaron Baune Basketball Hudl" This will bring up highlights.
Thank you for your consideration , anything would be greatly appreciated. If you wish to have the non profit status for you donation. Facebook Message “Sandi Hulett Baune” or Myself so we can get you set up for non profit status. Thank you.
