A Journey To Recovery 4 Zhandre

On Sept 17th ,2018 this precious 3 year old baby boy was brutally bitten by a pitbull. His mother has had to stay home to care for Zhandre until further notice, so this family has gone down to a 1 income home.  

There are  3 other children in the home. This family needs help to be sure they can keep a roof over their heads and food on the table and mom still be home and care for Zhandre. The expenses of traveling back and forth to Syracuse every week, and to cover whatever comes next in his medical journey. 

Zhandre was immediately transported by ambulance to Upstate University Medical where he had emergency surgery, Which resulted in massive repair to his face. He came out of surgery with 80 stitches to the outside and numerous more on the inside.  He now has to follow up with the surgeon and the ENT to see if his tear duct needs to be repaired. Also he needs to remain under care for atleast one year. After 1 year Zhandre can be a candidate of plastic surgery for scar repair.
