Fire relief fund for Whitney
Hello Fellow Hockey Players & Coaches,
A couple of days ago tragedy struck one of our fellow members of the North Vancouver hockey community. Whitney Juszkiewicz has been a fixture on the North Shore for hockey for many years, whether it was coaching our kids in minor hockey, giving adult hockey lessons to those of us looking to improve our game or playing on one of our hockey teams - she has been a committed coach, a great educator, and a great teammate.
Sadly, Whitney lost her home in a fire this past week and as a result has lost most of her possessions. As you all know, being a part of a hockey team and community is more than just about the sport and winning, it is about belonging to something more than just ourselves - it is about community and connection.
A few of us have started a fund to help try and raise some much needed money for Whitney as she begins to rebuild her life. Please know that any amount is helpful and that all of us banding together to support them in this difficult time will make a huge difference for her rebuilding process. Please help us to support Whitney.
