Family and friends,
As most of you already know, our beloved Shawna went to be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, Sept. 10th after battling cancer for over six years. She was a remarkable example of love, grace, compassion, unwavering faith, and most of all, positivity. Over those six years, Shawna endured several rounds of radiation and chemotherapy, multiple surgeries, and enumerable other medical procedures and treatments. Throughout all of the treatments and surgeries, however, Shawna never lost her dreaming spirit.
During those six years, while hoping for the best, but being prepared for the worst, Shawna and her husband, Shaughn, set out to make the most of the time they had together, checking one item after another off of Shawna's bucket list. That list included building Shawna's dream home. They spent countless hours drawing, planning, designing and dreaming about the house. Unfortunately, Shawna was called home before its completion. Although she won't be able to see the final product here on earth, she will be watching from Heaven as the process continues.
This memorial fund is set up in hopes that all of us can give a little back in honor of everything Shawna taught us while here on earth, and lessen the impact of the medical bills that have accrued over the last six years. Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers as they grieve the loss of a truly remarkable angel.
