Hello! :) My name is Olivia Buch, or as some might know, WaywardSiren98. I am a fanfiction writer for the TV show Supernatural and I've created a dream and goal for myself.
I'm currently writing an SPN fanfic called "Abomination" and hope to sometime publish it (with Eric Kripke's permission). But that's not why you're here... well maybe it is, either eay you shoud definitely go give it a read and review hehe. Anyway, I will be attentding either ChiCon2016 (Chicago Convention) or PittsCon2016 (Pittsburgh Convention) and there is something special I would like to do for myself, other con goers, and my story's fans.
I would like to create a cosplay of my main and original character, Trinity Scarborough. It will be a rather detailed and extravagant cosplay because (spolierish...) she has big, hybrid angel wings, big, black, curly hair, and if possible, special eyes (custom contacts required for that).
I will use what I get to create my cosplay, obviously. :) My goal is $400, and that covers the cost of the wings, wig, contacts, and a small accessory. I will need to make a frame for the wings that will be articulated (moving), then decorate said frame, get the wig, possibly the contacts, and various other accessories I don't already have, an example being an Eye of Horus pendant necklace. Any extra money after $400 would go toward my Con trip, whether it be any tickets (attendance, photo op [I plan on getting at least one and posing like a scene from my fic], or auto.), merchandise, or the cost of trip itself. So if we can surpass the first goal, it would enhance the cosplay. ;D
I would need the funds at least two months before the con, so depending on which one we end up going to, either, May or July. :) But the sooner the better so I can get it done and ready. :) Also the contacts take a minimum of 4-6 weeks to create (they're custom), so as soon as possible is best. ;)
This is really important to me, simply becasue this is a part of me. This character literally is based off of some of me and it's the closest I've ever been to a character, of my own creation or not. And it would be incredibly special to meet fans, take pictures, talk fic and stuff, as well as go home with a momento of a scene played out with at least one member of the cast.
If this happens, I will be so thankful and I would feel like I would have just sold my soul to Crowley to make this happen, Hahaha.
