First of all I want to say I hate asking for donations. It is not my nature to ask for help. Especially for money. That being said I am stooping down to ask for your help.
I would prefer to do this on my own but the last two years have been really bad for my family and myself. My brother died and my wife divorced me. I have had thousands stolen from me in cash and property. This has left me broke and with little to no money to build the engine on my own. That being said I have a small amount of equipment that will go on the engine. So I do have a start. I just can't finish before the new contract is ready next spring. This is where your help comes in.
I am trying to raise enough money to buy a wild land fire engine. I have found an engine and have a verbal agreement on it. It is a 2007 Ford F-450 extended cab. It is already set up ready to go.
I only have a small window of time to set this up. Next year is the new contract to add a engine. This only comes up every three years. so time is of essence. It has to be done by the end of winter in order to get the contract accepted by the government, ready for next season and the two seasons after that.
As you know there arent enough resources to fight the fires. For a time there were several fires with no one to fight them. They brought in resources from Austrailia, Canada, and other countries. The U.S. Army also joined in the war against the fires. They also recruited and trained loggers to fight the fires. Building this engine will provide one more resource to protect our homes, and our lands we all love to play in.
You have all seen how bad this season has been, and is still continuing. Many homes have been lost. With your help we can make a difference. Help me purchase this engine.
With your donations Not only will I purchase this engine but I will also employ an engine boss and also two crew people. The pay rates will be in the range of $200-500 per day per person. I will also pay for their training.
