Table Tennis Fair Play

My name is Wang Chen, owner of the best Olympic record in the history of US Table Tennis.  On January this year, the USATT decided to change the Olympic team selection process from the traditional, time honored, fair way of tryout competition process to an un-American process which gives unfettered discretion to coaches to pick the team. Many of us in the US table tennis community had voiced our displeasure of this change.  On behave of many of the athletes and parents who had unjustly served by this change, I took the initiative to bring on legal challenge against the USATT.  We are very lucky to have obtain the service of attorney Edward Williams to fight this case.  Mr. Williams is a very experienced attorney winning many cases for athletes.  He recently won a case representing several athletes against the USATT.  Mr. Williams is also the chair person in the committee to make the USOC great again.  I am confident that Mr. Williams will be able to win the case to bring back fair competitive Olympic selection process to USA Table Tennis.  In addition, our case will also bring back “Objective” selection by competition for the US National Team and Junior Teams in the sport of table tennis.  Further, this case will have immense ramification in the shake up of the USATT to bring back better governance, transparency, and accountability to the members.

We are looking to raise $100,000.  All proceeds raised will go toward the legal expenses of Mr. Williams.  In the event if we raised more than needed, all extra proceeds will be donated to non-profit organizations to help youth table tennis in the US.  My 2008 Olympic sponsor, Mr. Jerry Wartski has already donated $10,000 to cover the initial legal cost.
