Just to tell some ofour story of the past 15 months. Jim had a bad heart attack in July of 2017, 5 major blockages. Most of which where from 85 to 98 percent in the main arteries. The doctors said he should not have survived. Stints where not possible because of the severity of the blockages, he needed bypass .But he also had a large blood clot under all these blockages so he lived on blood thinners untill October 2 2017 because they said he would have a stroke on the table they had to dissolve the clot. Then he underwent surgery and had 4 bypasses. In about March of 2018 he was having paralysis in his legs. That ended up being from his neck and he underwent neck surgery, and had to have a neck brace 24-7 for 6 weeks. All this time he just becomes weaker and weaker even though he couldn't work and was trying to get strength back., he just keeps getting worse. Then diab. Kicks in and they are having trouble controlling that. Just continues to doctor but his body can't keep up.Sept.2018 he starts falling alot and it comes to he has to lift his legs with his arms to move them and his arms are getting weaker to. He is in and out of the ER and finally one Sunday night we where back in the ER he was in so much pain and so weak he laid on the floor waiting to go back in the room. He was admitted to the hospital at 200am the next morning. By that night he was so sick he was holding his head and moening from pain. He did not know me or where he was. He was brought up to the ICU Tues.and they didn't know what was wrong with him. So the tests started, he kept getting worse and it took almost a week to finally know he had contacted fungal pneumonia because he was so weak and run down. We had never heard of it before but it is very dangerous and difficult to treat and get rid of. Especially someone in Jim's shape. 2days before they got the tests back they couldn't wait any longer and started IVs for the pneomonia. There are very few meds to treat it and they are very stronger and hard on the body, but it is deadly if not treated and at times the treatment does not work. Anyway he is in that round 10 days and also has 4 mini strokes. He goes home with the oral form of the meds now, blood thinners and about 15 other pills. He is told he has to take the fungal pneumonia pills from 6 to 12 months. He is home about a month and is getting worse and worse. Back and forth to the ER they keep sending him home. Finally on Tues 11-6-18 he is hospitalized again more tests the meds for the fungal pneumonia have taken out his adrenal gland, if you read up on that you will see it controls all the bodily functions. We can not live without it working and the meds he has to have for that the fungal pneumonia meds are hard on.all this affects his kidneys and the salt and water levels that he needs to have his body and mind function.By Sunday Nov 11 he has fallen at the and his blood pressure is 63 over40 he needs higher does of the meds for the adrenal gland and his veins are collapsed and they can't get the IV in again in his stomach to give it. He is throwing up so he can't talk it by mouth. So the rush him up to ICU and put it in the vein in hi neck all the time trying to get his blood pressure up. Calling Rochester to take him, they won't Bemidji is closer they sad. We are to take the helecopter to Sanford Fargo I CU, but they can't take off because of wind, so it is about 90 min more wait in . Then we take a ambulance to the Bemdji airport transfer to the plane and have only a 24 min arrival time there, transfer to the ambulance to Sanford hospital and into ICU. With all the multiple things wrong it is caotic then all the other problems ate put on hold. Jim is bleeding inside he had lost two thirds of his blood. The doctor said if we had not gotten there then Jim would have died. He went into surgery and also has a blood clot bigger than the size of a baseball. So then they took him off the blood thinners for now but have to be concerned for blood clots in the heart and strokes. He has had 7or8 units of blood and 4 or 5 units of plasma up to this point. The blood pooilng in his abdomen and the clot in his his are very painful and he is on quiet alot of pain meds. Seems every day something is added to the problem, but if anyone knows my precious husband he is optometrist and kind to all thee doctors and staff. When he is contious and knows what's happening he is praising God and witnessing about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Jim is such a wonderful man he loves you all so much. We thank you all for your kindness and prayers. We are praying our precious Lord will heal all these multiple multiple problems and Grant him more time with me and his family and friends those of us who love him so much. As for me he is the love of my life and know one has ever loved me as he does. His passion is like poetry for me and if any of you have read his many testimonies of this on Facebook you know what I mean.He is kind and full of love for people his love flows. He is a witness of the love the Lord has for him and all of us. I know but it is a long journey. God bless you all Jim and I love you. I hope this answers some of your questions I want to talk to you all personally but I am so tied and can't keep up.please continue to pray for my precious husband and your friend.all our love Jim and Valerie Sears
