Women for Rugby

Women for Rugby was established in June of 2018 to provide a funding source to support the full spectrum of Women's Rugby Programs in the US.  Knowing we have to hatch before we can soar we are building a team of volunteers to attract others who want to see the sport we love grow here in the US.

Our focus is to get as much funding directly to the game as possible.  Seeing very few efforts dedicated to growing the game for women, co-founders Nicole Strasko and Morgan Roberts wanted to support the US women's program, but also attract funding to support the development side for women in the game at each level. 

 With a keen eye to transparency and compliance, Women for Rugby is building  a board and Advisory Board looking to begin its work with its kick off event in July 18, 2018 and closing this first campaign July 31, 2018.

The Women’s USA 7s team, currently ranked 5th in the World is racing for the Podium in just 2 years.  Whilst the program is supported by USOC grants and allocations from USA Rugby, the program continues to battle and balance resource restrictions. It is critical that the USA W 7s develop philanthropic income, and/or alternative sponsorship dollars in order to meet critical high performance needs. 

(FOOF) is registered is a California 501C3 and a no cost, one time fiscal agent for this campaign. Event proceeds will go first to USA Women's 7's team kit estimated at $12,000, then to local Women's Rugby Programs estimated at $12,000. All funds in excess of the event goal will go the the USA Women's 7's Rugby Program.
