Above is a picture of a Veteran house that is on the New Mexico State University campus. There are 24 unoccupied houses like this on campus in desperate need of renovation and TLC. They need painting, minor renovations, appliances, blinds and landscaping.
I approached the Board of Regents and said that the Veterans deserve so much better than this. They sacrifice so much being away from home, missing birthdays, Christmas etc. They look forward to having a nice place when they finish their time in the service and will be continuing their education. These houses are not free.. They have to pay rent.
I have been contacted by the Chancellors Office and will be a special guest at the Renovation Kickoff in November 2019. They already have a ton of volunteers to do the work but need $$ to make it all happen. I have permission from them for this page.
Anyway I am hoping to raise money for the above mentioned repairs. Please share to whomever you can!
