Keeping Heather healthy

Many of you know our story and some may not. This is our daughter and sister Heather. Heather is a 19-year-old amazing child with so much life ahead of her. Heather always wanted to be a chef who owed her own restaurant or bakery. Heather has been struggling with anxiety and depression since she was very young. Every day was a struggle for Heather, some more than others. When Heather was 18 she approached by our longtime neighbor, who knew of her personality and her struggles. Our neighbor offered Heather Heroin and told her it was like smoking pot but stronger. It will just relax you. Never in a million years did we think heroin was something we needed to talk to our kids about. Heather tried it and that was it...she was addicted. Heather has been struggling to be free of this drug since that one day. Heather has been homeless, and at one point she almost died due to using. She now has a heart condition Endocarditis that she will have for the rest of her life. Heather has had many ups and downs since that first day of use. Heather has now made the decision that she wants a better life. She wants to be free from this addiction and one day help others who are suffering as she once did.  Heather has been clean and in rehab and just celebrated her 60 days of sobriety. She wants to be free of this addiction and knows she needs more time in rehab. Our insurance will only pay for up to 3 months then it's on her to figure it out. She wants to be in the facility for at least 6 months and we want nothing more than to give her this gift but we need help. Please help us help Heather. She deserves to have a future and she wants one.
