UPnRIDE Wheelchair for Connor

Donation protected
Connor Fogal is my brother. He was born with Cerebral Palsy, but it hasn't stopped him from doing what he loves. He loves to paint, snow ski, run marathons, and sky dive. His goal has always been to bring awareness to the world about all types of disabilities. He wants the world to know that disabled people  deserve to be treated just like you.

When he was brought home from the hospital, our parents were told he would never function and this his life would revolve around acute full-time care. CAT scans showed that a major portion of his brain was missing. Six months later, a 2nd CAT scan showed his brain was now completely whole.

Connor has worked tirelessly to make his way in the world. He owns his own businesses to both raise awareness and to fund his hobbies and passions. He is always out there, doing what he does, helping others, and bringing some sunshine to the world around him.

He is part of Creative Potential (http://www.creativepotential.guru) and MyLow (My Life on Wheels http://www.mylownv.com). But now it is our turn to return some of the good will that Connor has put out in to the world.

Connor uses a powered wheel chair to maneuver around our world. Reaching things is difficult, if not impossible from a sitting position. His art is also limited to what he can do sitting in a chair; unable to stand limits his ability to approach certain  mediums with his paintings.

We have reached out to UPnRIDE about their revolutionary wheelchair.

With this new type of wheelchair, Connor believes that his legs will get stronger allowing him to maybe walk some day and will reduce the number of sores he has from sitting in his chair so much. His doctors have also stated that the increased circulation in his legs will be important for his continued good health. Maybe, most importantly, it will allow Connor to see the world from a new perspective; holding conversations at eye level with family and friends, and generally this chair will improve his quality of life exponentially.

I am hoping to raise enough money to get Connor this wheelchair. I am hoping to improve the quality of my brother's life.
