United Love Shelter

United Love Shelter was founded by expats in China. We're located in the south of China, in the city of Guangzhou. We have gathered both cats and dogs which were rescued from the horrible Yulin festival. For the past decade citizens of Yulin province have been capturing cats and dogs in order to eat them. Many believe that their meat will become more delicious if the animals are tortured and die in pain.

After a year of hard work we e managed to find homes for more than 60 cats and dogs. We have found them homes in China, Russia, and we even send some of them to their new owners in Europe.

Unfortunately, our shelter has no sponsors. We survive on donations we receive from kind-hearted people, but this is not enough.

Here are our monthly expenses:

1. $900 - monthly rent

2. $1000 - food

3. $800 - cleaner's and security guard's salary

4. $500 - average medical bill per animal

5. $60 - neutering per animal

6. $15 - vaccination per animal

At the moment there are 60 dogs in the shelter, and 34 of them need neutering and vaccination.

It's a shame that in China eating cats and dogs is widely accepted. Some of Chinese torture and skin those poor creatures alive so the adrenaline levels of the animals will be elevated giving that meat unique taste.
