I'm here looking to raise funds for my father, an army veteran who was the victim of a random careless shooting while my dad was trying to do the right thing and help a fellow citizen. He was just on a normal trip towards a grocery store and witnessed two individuals seemingly "kidnapping" a woman and decided to honk to draw attention to the situation. While driving by, he was then shot in the head by one of the individuals and the bullet was lodged in his skull under his eye.

Luckily, he has since been able to make it through surgeries and survive the incident, and we are extremely thankful for that. We are looking to raise funds to help with medical bills as he was in the ICU for days, went through over 65 tests while in, and was also monitored throughout a week. Needless to say, medical expenses will be an area where we will be looking for assistance. My father is very prideful and I know he would definitely not ask for it, but anything helps.

Support Anthony's Father After Tragic Shooting

Hi, my name is Alyssa and I'm raising money for my ex wife Charmayne Saunders. Yesterday (09/23/23) she woke up to every mother's worst nightmare and had to call 911 because her 1 month old son would not wake up from his nap. He was rushed to canyon vista medical center where they tried everything they could to bring him back to us. Unfortunately he was pronounced dead 30 minutes later. Lynkin would have been two months old today (09/24/23). Charmayne is a single mom with two other children that we share custody of. I'm asking for our communities help for funeral costs, medical bills, and to help give her time to grieve. Charmayne just started a new job so she does not have any PTO to use during this time. I don't want her to lose her house or car when she just lost her son. All funds donated will go to baby Lynkins funeral and memorial services and whatever is left over will go to Charmayne for her to be able to take time off work and care for her other two children. Thank you for taking the time to read and please share.

Lynkin Saunders funeral costs

Update 1/24:

The judge has lifted the injunction and the workers can begin their new positions tomorrow. I am still in contact with the lawyer and one of the workers. They will be working on validating themselves as beneficiaries to this fundraiser tomorrow (1/25). The funds will go to support any legal fees and other costs incurred by the workers. Updates will be provided as they occur.

Update:

I am in active contact with the attorney for Ascension, David Muth, who is aware of this campaign and working on the details of how to tie these funds to the workers.

I have been in touch with the attorney and one of the workers, Andrew Kohler. The workers are meeting with attorneys on Sunday 1/23 to determine how to distribute these funds. A beneficiary will be assigned for this fundraiser through GoFundMe once that is determined.

From the original Reddit post located here :

Outagamie County Circuit Court Judge Mark McGinnis granted ThedaCare's request Thursday to temporarily block seven of its employees who had applied for and accepted jobs at Ascension from beginning work there on Monday until the health system could find replacements for them.

Each of the employees were employed at-will, meaning they were not under an obligation to stay at ThedaCare for a certain amount of time.

We are raising funds to support the 7 employees that are being blocked from starting their new job, so that they can confidently walk out on ThedaCare today.

Support for employees:
Kailey Young
Samantha Baltus
Tim Briester
Paul Winter
Amber Kohler
Michael Preissner
Andrew Kohler
