 <strong>Hello, my name is Sami!</strong>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 I'm a trans man and a refugee in the UK.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 I've put off creating this GoFundMe for a long time. Last year I was focused on my asylum case, and being unemployed made fundraising feel impossible. But I've realised I can't keep waiting any longer.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Like many other trans people, I'm struggling with dysphoria and facing years of waiting for gender-affirming care through the NHS, so I'm hoping to raise enough to access top surgery privately.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 My goal is to raise £9,000, this will go towards my consultation, surgery, travel, and recovery-related costs, helping me access the care I need.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Transparency is really important to me so I would like to share updates of my journey, hopefully, when I'm able to have my surgery.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who takes the time to read, share, or support my fundraiser.
</div>
<div>

</div>
<div>
 Thank you so much!

Transition costs

<div>Hiya, my name is Angel.
</div>
<div>Im a woman of trans experience.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This fundraiser is to help me gather the funds for voice feminisation surgery.
</div>
<div>I have done months of voice therapy which has been helpful in many ways, but there are complex reasons why it hasn’t been sufficient.
</div>
<div>Over the time since I began my transition I have been very lucky that I can mostly move around in the world without drawing attention to my trans identity.
</div>
<div>This however falls apart when I have to use my voice with strangers, in public, on the telephone etc.
</div>
<div>I have felt particularly unsafe at times due to my voice attracting the wrong attention.
</div>
<div>Micro aggressions I’m used to, but Ive had a spate of incidents recently with members of public when I’ve been alone and vulnerable that make it evident to me that it’s just a matter of time before I’m hate crimed.
</div>
<div>sure, I have dysphoria around my voice, it would be nice for me on an emotional level to have a voice that aligns with the rest of me, but further to that I’m literally too scared to even answer my phone in public if I’m alone, reply to people who want my attention or talk to buy things in shops, restaurants etc if there are people within earshot.
</div>
<div>it’s genuinely scary dealing with the potential for trans panic and outright prejudice.
</div>
<div>The surgery “glottoplasty” raises the pitch of voice.
</div>
<div>in combination with techniques around tone and resonance, my voice should become indistinguishable from that of a cis woman.
</div>
<div>to be honest at this point I’m desperate. The impact it’s having on me being selectively mute in public is more than just an inconvenience, it’s also simply not possible or a reasonable way to live.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>the £7.5k I’m hoping to raise should cover the consultation, surgery and follow up appointments. If I hit the target and it comes to less, I will put the remainder toward another trans person seeking financial assistance xx
</div>

Voice feminisation surgery

<div>Hi I'm Dani and I'm trying to fundraise so that I can pay for my transition. If you are able to donate or spread awareness to help me hit this goal I would really appreciate it. Below is a little more info about me and why I have set up this Gofundme.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>When I was little, I was asked the typical question- what do you want to be when you grow up? Back then, the answer was simple. I would flatly respond that I wanted to grow up to be a girl. This idea felt natural to me. Soon I realised it didn’t seem so natural to everybody else. Little Dani felt maybe it was a good idea to hide that part of herself for a while. I could circle back to that issue, and it would all come right eventually.
</div>
<div>It turns out growing up to be a trans girl is not quite as easy as I thought. Being transgender is difficult in the UK. After I told my GP back in 2023, they referred me to the gender clinic who told me it will take 5+ years to have an initial appointment. After this, getting surgery can take up to another 35 years. I was shocked. I had felt that coming out would be the hard part. But I think, knowing exactly who you are and still being denied it has been a more painful experience for me to face. Whether or not this is a way to exclude trans people from receiving care or just a lack of government funding is not clear to me. Regardless, the fact of the matter is that I will not be able to access gender-affirming care on the NHS for the majority of my life. Being told you might have to wait until you are 50 until you can start to live your life the way you had always felt on the inside is daunting. And I want to change that.
</div>
<div>I am reminded every day by my beautiful family and friends and LGBTQ+ community that I don’t have to give in to this hopelessness. There is also so much joy in being trans for me. Miracles can happen and people are generous and supportive and loving. I have hope that I can live a life where I feel comfortable in my own skin before it is too late. I can lead a normal, happy life just like everybody else. I know I want these surgeries, but I need your help so that I can get them done privately. This is why I am now setting up a GoFundMe. I am asking for your help to get me to this next stage of my life. Any donations you are able to make will be cherished. Thank you for all your help. I’m hoping for a miracle. Dani.
</div>

Dani's transition

<div>EDIT 29/07/24
</div>
<div>Hi, it’s Robin again, I’m an ftm nonbinary person who has been DIYing their transition for two years. I’m also a disabled person who has to rely on private treatment as the NHS doesn’t cover what I need.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As you may have noticed, I have changed the goal to better reflect my needs for the time being and significantly increased the fundraising target. As both a disabled and trans person, the NHS is not providing me with the healthcare I need.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I started this fundraiser with the goal of fundraising to move from DIY HRT to private gender care, unfortunately a serious of downturns in my health meant I had to spend the money on private treatments for Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos. This is a variable condition but for me it requires constant management and often leaves me house multiple times a week.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I want to be able to actually put funds towards my transition and not just disability care. I toyed with the idea of two fundraisers but that seemed too complicated. As it is I will be splitting the money as necessary.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The clinic I have decided to go ahead with estimates that it will cost £2195 over 24 months. Hopefully I will get shared care with my GP and it will not cost this much, however I have decided to raise the goal to this amount. If it does end up costing less that this, any money left over will go to either lower body masculinisation surgery or redistributed to other trans people in need of care.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The other funds that I raise will go to the maintenance treatment I need for Ehlers Danlos which can cost as much as £400 a month. I would also like to be able to pay for a round of prolotherapy on my hip as this treatment did wonders for my shoulder, however it cost £1500.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I hope I have explained this well, I recently had an unexplained seizure and it’s impacted my typing, writing, and vocabulary.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Any money that is left over after I’ve paid for my care will be donated to other trans and disabled folks who are fundraising for their healthcare. This system is effed, but all we can do is help each other.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you can donate even £1, £5, £10, it will go a long way and you will forever have my gratitude.
</div>

Robin’s Healthcare and Transition Fund

<div>Well everyone, we're here, it's time to tackle one of the biggest sources of dysphoria, my nose. During my adolescent, I had a puberty I didn't want. I had to watch in horror for years, including as an adult, as my face grew in directions I found deeply distressing and despite being considered quite attractive, I have never been able to come to terms with what testosterone affected in my face. Luckily it is possible to change these things! I'm going to have a series of surgeries for my face as part of Facial Feminisation Surgery, and the first part of this is Rhinoplasty, as it is one of the easier surgeries but also something that is more of a priority for me.
</div>
<div>I'm not looking to change my ethnic features, I'm just looking to reduce it to how I feel it could have looked, had I not been subjected to the wrong development. Unfortunately, even the NHS does not include FFS in their transition timeline (assuming I ever see any support from that at all) So regardless of the future, I will need to pay for this surgery, quoted around 4 grand.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It's important to me to be able to make changes that can't be taken away by policy changes. By being more comfortable with my face will make it easier for me to go outside, look at myself, and feel more at peace with myself
</div>

Rosie Transition Fund: The Queen's Nose

<div>hi, i'm sonny and i am a 22 year old trans man hoping to get top surgery in the near future.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>i realised i was trans in 2017 when i was 14 and as soon as i was able to get a binder through a friend in 2018, i have been binding almost every day. this has not been great for my health as i am asthmatic and have other chronic pain issues but i do so anyways because of the dysphoria my chest causes me. i have been wanting top surgery pretty much for as long as i knew it was an option, but because of the cost it has felt like an impossible goal. i am desperate to get top surgery to alleviate my dysphoria and help me feel more comfortable in my body. being able to wear tshirts without layering up or needing them oversized or being able to play football without binding would be life changing to me, as it feels increasingly unendurable to keep living with my chest dysphoria impacting so much of my life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>i have been out as trans publically for about 6 years and started tesosterone in august 2025, after saving up to go private because of the long wait list. while testosterone has helped increase my confidence and reduce some of the dysphoria i had before, top surgery would be life-changing for me in relieving my chest dysphoria.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>with the long NHS waiting list and UK top surgeons fees being around £9k+ i am choosing to have my top surgery abroad which is around £6-7k, alongside travel fees. while i am also trying to save up myself, this would only be able to cover the travel and accomodation at best so i am asking for help in raising the cost of the surgery. any donation is so very appreciated and if you aren't in the position to donate as times are tough right now, please consider sharing the link if you are able.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>thank you,
</div>

sonny's top surgery fundraiser

<div>Hey, I'm Arlo! I've been out as trans and non-binary for over six years. With that, I've been on an NHS gender clinic waitlist since mid-2021 for gender-affirming care and still haven't heard a thing.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Over the last two years, I've been on HRT and feel so much more at home in my body and at peace with myself. I can't quite find the words to explain the freedom that I feel within myself lately. At last, when I look in the mirror, I have started to see and recognise myself.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>However, in recent years, I have developed severe chronic neck and shoulder pain and am in the process of receiving a diagnosis of symptomatic hypermobility spectrum disorder. This has stopped me from being able to wear a chest binder or trans tape at all and means that I have no way to soothe my chest dysphoria on a day-to-day basis. This is also putting me at risk as a visibly trans person amongst the worsening attitudes towards trans people in the UK. I also consistently slouch to hide my chest, which worsens my pain. I just want to be able to stand tall and proud and feel good! What's a guy gotta do!?
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Therefore, I am fundraising for my top surgery so that I can live a more pain-free life as well as exist comfortably in the world as I see myself. I'm a student living from loan payment to loan payment, so fundraising is my only option for this. As I'm a disabled student, I'm only able to work a minimal amount, so I'm looking to fundraise the majority of the costs here, but I will be contributing as much as I can.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I'm hoping to get my surgery abroad as costs in the UK range from £ 9k- £ 12k, and my current options of Portugal or Turkey range from £3k-4.5k.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I'll be fundraising for:
</div>
<ul>
<li>Surgery
</li>
<li>Medical Insurance
</li>
<li>Flights &amp; Accommodation
</li>
<li>Recovery time I'll need to spend out of work
</li>
</ul>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you so much for reading this short rundown of my story! Donate if you can, and if not, please share around :)

Arlo's Top Surgery Fundraiser :)

<div>Hi lovely people, I'm Oisin and I've decided to bite the bullet and finally start making plans for top surgery! Yay!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This year, almost completely unexpectedly, I was given the opportunity to go on testosterone after ten years of feeling desperate to transition and almost as long living as a transmasc. Starting hormones has already completely transformed my life - where I had previously felt like I was sleepwalking through the years, having access to gender affirming care has put an end to a dissociative decade of feeling like a stranger to myself and my body. Every day brings small new joys.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Having reached this stage, for maybe the first time ever the life that I want to live feels like it might be possible. Testosterone has re-affirmed what I have known about myself for as long as I can remember, and has made it abundantly clear that top surgery is the next necessary step for me in my transition.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With NHS waitlists already so unworkable, I've spent the past couple of months researching and pricing up surgeons in Europe. I've taken a long, hard (and scary) look at my finances and made a real plan for saving. It's my hope that with determination and potentially a few small miracles, I will be able to schedule my surgery for <strong>Summer 2028. </strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Any funds received are so, so appreciated and will go towards either the surgery itself or travel costs associated. This might seem like a long lead in for a plan that is almost two years down the line, but I'm hoping to stagger different campaigns and fundraising activities over the next couple of years to supplement the money I save in the meantime. Updates to follow - thank you and love to you all &lt;3
</div>

Help Oisin get top surgery!

<div>Hi, my name is Eli/Elijah (they/them)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This has been a long time coming, but I've finally reached a point where I'm wanting to ask for help and reach out for something I truly believe I need in order to feel comfortable in my own body and live a happy, fulfilled life - TOP SURGERY!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This fundraiser is the beginning of that journey. I'm a long way from being in a financial position where I could afford this surgery on my own, and with incredibly long NHS waiting lists, alongside concerns about future reductions in services, I've decided that now is the time to start rather than putting it off any longer.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you so much in advance for any support, whether that's donating or simply sharing this fundraiser. It means more than I can put into words.
</div>

</div>
<div>Lots of love,
</div>

 Hello! My name is Callan (he/they), I’m a 24 year old trans man from London. I’m an actor and work London living wage hospitality jobs on the side to earn my keep. In my spare time I enjoy boxing, drumming and cooking.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Top surgery is something I have wanted since I began my transition journey - if not before - but it has always felt so out of reach. It has never been something I’ve felt like I’ve deserved; a happiness and a freedom that belongs to others but not someone like me. Over the last year, the pain of having a chest that I doesn’t feel like me has become unbearable. Binding is painful, sweaty and affects my ability to work as an actor. In reality it does little to alleviate the dysphoria. I can no longer ignore these feelings; it affects me every day, painfully in what feels like every moment. Dysphoria is crushing and isolating in the way it makes you feel constantly.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 It’s never easy to ask so publicly for money, and I am especially aware of the privileged background I come from. Living at home and working three hospitality jobs has enabled me to save enough to cover a portion of the costs. Anyone who knows me will know that my biological family are not on the same page about transition and my journey towards authenticity. They have expressed many times that they oppose anything I do towards my transition and have actively sought to stop me. I do not have access to their money or support which is why I am reaching out to the wider community and the kindness of strangers to help make this happen.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 I’m so grateful for all the friends who’ve supported me over the last few years and who will play a crucial role in the months to come. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for all the people I’ve met and all those who’ve stuck with me through the tuff times.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 I have decided to go with Dr Lembas in Poland because of affordability (compared to UK treatment) and the quality of his work. This costs just over £6000. I also need to raise enough money for travel and accommodation for a friend to come out and support me for the 2 weeks as I don’t have family or a partner who can do this with me. I am aiming to get this surgery this winter/spring ahead of orthopaedic treatment to help manage my disability which I am on the NHS waiting list for later in 2027. This puts the pressure on the timings but it felt absolutely necessary to take this time window and change my life for better.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Please give as much as you can. Even the price of your daily iced oat matcha would help. And most importantly, please share this GofundMe as far and wide as you can. Keep an eye out for fundraiser events and other fun ways to donate in the coming months and get in contact if you'd like to get involved.

<div>Hello. I’m Cali. I’m a 21 years old trans woman. I have been struggling a lot in the last few months. I’ve been starving because I have not been getting my universal credit money. I have stopped doing adult work because it has been affecting on my mental health and i has been diagnosed with pancreatitis and it has been making me struggle with work. I also have lost my id and I can’t afford to get a new id. I have been off my hormones so my transitioning journey has been depressed and suicidal because of that. I have to start paying rent the next month or I will be kicked out. I hope u guys can help me it will really mean a lot to me to get my shit together xx
</div>

Trans woman in urgent need of help and support

<div>
 If you've known me the last 5 years you'll know that there's only one thing that ive really wanted, to feel complete, to match the image I had of myself since 13 years old. Im not normally one to ask for help and support which is why I hope that in my asking for support you understand how serious and important this means to me. I'll be raising funds for a deposit of my bottom surgery, organising events and fundraisers. Any support would be absolutely appreciated or lending services to fundraising would be equally as helpful if you cant donate! Thank you all so much for your support! Xx

Kate's Bottom Surgery Fundraiser

<div>Hi my lovelies! As many of you know, my name is Tobius or, as I go by most, Tobi. I am a 23-year-old trans man living in Birmingham and use He/They pronouns. I've decided, well more like encouraged, to put my pride aside and ask for some help with my transition journey; I really thought I could power through and do this by myself but it's taxing on my physical and mental health way too much especially in recent times with the rising living costs and having an increasingly hungry little man who would simply eat me out of house and home haha! Unfortunately, my GP is unwilling to help or offer any advice in this matter and has pushed me aside, so doing this privately is my last resort but ultimately may even be my best resort. I need some help getting this service; I can't afford this by myself, not even if I worked all the possible hours I could...a little goes a long way, and I know times are hard, so even just sharing this page would literally fill my heart&lt;3 I came out five years ago, so I think it's about time I put myself first and actually see some progress....any money that is left over that I do not need or require I will be donating to UK based trans orientated charities and other trans people who's journeys are currently at a holt as it wouldn't be fair of me to sit on money I really don't need&lt;3 The funds raised would go towards consultations, hormone replacement therapy and any additional costs that come with this, i.e. costs of prescriptions.

</div>

<div>Much Love,

Tobi's Transitioning Help (Top Surgery)

<div>Hello! My name is Peregrin, Pippin for short, Pip for shorter!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I'm a non-binary artist &amp; animator living in the UK. Gender dysphoria, especially my chest dysphoria, has been a great factor in the decline of my mental health which is why I am asking for all the help I can get so that I can start truly feeling like myself again.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With the current conditions of the NHS waitlist, I'm reaching out to get help towards moving to private care with my diagnosis &amp; top surgery, as I don't know if I can wait the estimated 4-5 year wait for my first appointment, let alone the wait after that to get surgery.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Due to the state of the animation industry as of the moment, I have been struggling to find work to save up on my own to get the care I need. I'm asking for £9000 to help cover getting my gender dysphoria diagnosis and top surgery in Greece with Dr Ntanos. I've broken down the rough costs below.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Private gender dysphoria diagnosis: <strong>£500 + £350</strong> for any follow up appointments.
</div>
<div>Maximum cost of top surgery under Dr Ioannis Ntanos: <strong>£6000</strong>
</div>
<div>Two return flights to Greece from the UK: <em>roughly </em><strong><em>£400 </em></strong>based on current costs during peak months.
</div>
<div>Hotel, food &amp; additional travel costs: <em>roughly </em><strong><em>£600-800 </em></strong>based on current hotel and Air B&amp;B costs.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The remainder of the funds are for contingency, in the event that something happens during surgery, the travel to Greece, or unexpected costs arise.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Any amount donated is a huge help to me, even sharing means so much. If you are more interested in helping me financially through commissioning me for artwork, you can view my <a href="https://peregrinmorrison.wixsite.com/pipsqueak-art" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><strong>portfolio here</strong></a><strong>.</strong>

<div>Hi I am Lexi. A 23 year old trans woman. I started my medical transition just over 3 years ago now. With being on HRT and getting laser here and there when I'm able to. gender affirming surgery. Had been something I've always wanted, for such a long time. However. Coming from a lower class background, and struggling to fund work for the past few years. This feels like it'll be something I'll always dream about and yearn for. Bit never be fortunate to get it. But that stops. I'm going
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/89886475_1743087256540601_r." width="100%" />
<div>to try my best to make this a reality, and Who knows! It may one day happen. I've felt alot of my dysphoria has come from my face. Which has been extremely debilitating for me, for years of my life. I have grown to point in my life where I dont hate my appearance. I used to hide away from reflections. Cover mirrors in my home, but HRT has given me so much joy. I feel beautiful. It's a wonderful thing, but that dysphoria has never gone away and many times its extremely difficult. So I now am at a point In my life where I know I want FFS. And I truly know this will bring me so much peace. Specifically, alot of my dysphoria comes from the lower half of my face. My jaw, and if I had the finances for it this is the surgery I would get. Not to completely change my face, but to soften this feature. It would mean everything, and I seriously mean everything. To be able to look in the mirror and see the woman I know I am. So if anyone could help it mean so much to me.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The costs would be going towards jaw and chin contouring finances. As well as aftercare. Again. I have spent nearly all my life from a lower class background. And I dont know how I could achieve this without the support and generosity of you lovelies.

<div>Hey, my names Merve I'm a trans man and have been trying to go through the NHS to get help with gender affirming care for over three years now. This has lead to a lot of dead ends which is why I've been going private, however it's not at all affordable but is something I need to do.
</div>
<div>the process of getting hormone therapy and surgery is hard and the constant cost is a major hurdle, for example there is start up fees and consultations, plus a fee for every individual appointment and then a following monthly subscription fee, with surgeries I'd be looking at around £8000 including flights accommodation and after care.
</div>
<div>I've been lucky enough to have my GP agree to shared care which drops some of the cost on tests and referrals which I'm super grateful for and will hopefully make this slightly easier. I'm still not going to be able to fully self fund my hormone therapy and surgery though I will be putting as much towards it as I can.
</div>
<div>If you are able to donate, that would be incredible no matter how much it is and if not, sharing this page would be greatly appreciated.
</div>

<div>Hi youuuu, if you are reading this you know Deon. I am writing this as one of her many close friends, who loves her endlessly. If you know Deon, you likely also know what an incredible light they are to everyone around them. What a loyal friend, hard worker and huge hearted parent she is too. You very likely experienced her heart and listening ear as well, and you will definitely have had a night of dancing with her at some point. Or plan to! We know how much she deserves, and what a treasure she is to all of us.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For over 10 years Deon has needed top surgery, and we have found a surgeon in Jamaica who is ready. There is a cost, and Deon is already working very hard on survival, her own health and putting as much as she can towards it. If everyone who has ever met Deon can offer something, however small; we can get her there together.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>What you put into humans, you get out in community. Deon has been driving the community in her car and connecting the diaspora with folks in Jamaica across the country for so long. Investing in her health and wellbeing is abundance for us all.
</div>

We ARE HERE in Jamaica!! Community come thruuu!

<div>Hi my name is Olive, i am a 31 year old trans woman living in London and I've been on HRT for 3 years.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I was avoidant starting this because i'm too stubborn and independent for my own good lol, but it has reached a point in my life and in the world where i have realised i need to start relying on the kindness of strangers and the people who have already been an amazing emotional support system for me throughout this whole process.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I've been part of an amazing queer community for the last 5 years that's made me realise the benefits of supporting those within it as well as asking for support when i also need it, so this GoFundMe is really borne from them persistently reminding me that i'm silly to try and slog this out on my own haha.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With hormone replacement therapy for many transfem people, a common occurence is that the hormones only develop breast growth to a certain point and for me it has fallen short of what i would consider my preference for myself and to feel comfortable in my own body, hence my plans to get top surgery :)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am a music producer and I have been struggling to get work recently, with the influx of "AI music" and also a faltering economy, creative industries are taking a big hit and as a small freelancer, this has affected me quite significantly. Any hopes of having gender-affirming surgery have felt non-viable and insurmountable to be honest.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I have been researching and saving wherever I can to ensure I find a surgeon and facilities that provide what I need for my transition in the safest but also most economical way. However, I have reached a point in the process where I have no choice but to ask for support from you lovely people.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I understand that having additional income to support others is just not a reality for many people right now and i completely relate to that situation. If you don't have the financial means to support me, even just a share of this gofundme will help me get closer to my goal and will not go unappreciated, so thanks in advance.

<div>hi friends
</div>
<div>i'm lex - they/them - your friendly neighbourhood nonbinary boydyke
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>and im fundraising for top surgery :')
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>this has been a long time coming. like. a LONG time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>i've witnessed so many friends and loved ones and people i know go on their own gender journeys, gently encouraged people to use that name, try those pronouns, get their surgeries, access those hormones - i've put my ten pounds in the pot over and over. i think it's finally my turn.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>i find it hilariously difficult to ask for help. it feels incredibly vulnerable to ask for support on this scale, to ask folks to give Me money at a time when everyone is tight and everyone is struggling. every penny truly is a kindness i find it difficult to fathom, it makes me tear up to think about (literally - tears in my eyes as i type this lol, it's the pisces moon in me)
</div>
<div>every share and every donation means the world and i truly cannot thank you enough for even having a look at this page.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>im currently working a less than London Living Wage job, and i've been trying my utmost to save on my own but it just isn't possible for me at the moment, and it would take me who knows how long to save the amount i need to have this surgery that, obviously, is going to change my life.
</div>
<div>i haven't allowed myself to think it would be possible for me for so long, have found every reason it won't or can't happen, and every obstacle has felt too insurmountable. but. i've decided it is time. time for me to feel comfortable in my body. to be able to dance and swim and wear clothes that feel Good and just to live, freely and comfortably, and feeling like Me.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>i can't wait for the first time i can go out and lift my arms above my head and dance<em>, without a care. </em>i have never done that. and i want to. movement is a massive part of my life and my practice as an artist and a theatre-maker, and im excited to be able to give myself fully to it, to be comfortable to move and create and exist in front of people and share in the things i love.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>anyway, the long and short of it is - i have allowed myself to Want and i am Ready. the thing i need now is the money so that i can get this surgery without waiting another decade.
</div>
<div>so, thank you for being a part of making that happen.
</div>
<div>and thank you to my loves and the support network i have around me that has held me this far and loved me through every evolution and all the steps i needed to take to get here. there's a long way to go. it feels terrifying and exciting and P<em>ossible</em>. how wild.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>i simply cannot wait to finally be "flat like a prince" for real, as my 4-year-old sister once said to me whilst trying to work out how i disappeared my boobs one time (spoilers: i just put my binder on)
</div>
<div>forever one of the most affirming things anyone has ever said to me. i love her so much.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>ANYWAY
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>thank you, thank you, and thank you again &lt;3
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>ps ~ i also run a small business and am using that to raise funds in addition to this. check out @ManosQueer on instagram for our original lino prints, stickers, cards, and more and please also give us a share / follow too! much love xx
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>pps ~ GFM has said that beth is the beneficiary... promise it's for me lol they're my amazing wonderful partner and donations will be held in an account under their name for *reasons*, im sure you can understand! but fear not, beth will be keeping their nipples :)

Let's Get Lex Nip-less !

<div>Hey everyone!

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Thank you for taking a moment to click through to this page. I’m fundraising for my top surgery and wanted to take a moment to share a little about myself and where I’m at in my journey.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>In case you don't know me - Hi! I’m Charlie Fitzjohn

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>For years I’ve wanted to start the process of getting top surgery, but it's felt inaccessible due to my work.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>I work as a freelance makeup artist, and while I’ve had the honour of working consistently on projects that I’m passionate about, and working with and for my community - the instability of freelance has been a massive block for me in even dreaming about gender affirming surgery. It’s a surprisingly physical job that I wouldn’t be able to do while my body heals and the financial strain of being unable to work for 2 months has, to this point, stopped me in my tracks.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>However, I'm approaching my 30th birthday, and the thought of starting the next decade of my life having not taken this step has finally pushed me to ask for some help.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>With the cost of surgery being so high in the UK, I am looking at travelling to Estonia for my surgery. A wonderful friend of mine has offered to house me whilst I recover, and the difference in price has meant that finally surgery feels more accessible.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Donations will enable me to get the surgery, and support me through the 8 weeks of lost income.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>We’ll also be throwing a big fundraiser party in the summer, with DJs and cabaret acts! The lineup is in the works and trust me... it's tasty... stay tuned

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>I want to say thank you in advance for coming with me on this journey. Your support and care mean the world to me and I can’t wait to start my 30s as Charlie (no)Titzjohn!

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>All my love,

</div>

<div>Charlie xx

</div>

Charlie's top surgery: Project (no)Titzjohn

<div>Hello human beanies reading this ♡
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is Ro. I’m a trans masc/non-binary human raising funds to finally yeet the teet (top surgery).
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I dream of the day I stand bare chested in the sunshine and my body feels like home. Of tracing my fingers across healed scars and remembering everything it took to get here. I long to look in the mirror and recognise myself with softness instead of distance.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Starting this fundraiser felt deeply vulnerable. Asking for help so publicly cracked me open in ways I didn’t expect. But what I found waiting for me was community. Love. People showing up with donations, bake sales, shared links, kind words, time, care, and shoulders to cry on when I felt overwhelmed.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As exhausting as it is to exist as a trans person right now, this journey has also shown me how deeply connected we are. Every contribution, no matter the size, has become part of my survival and future. Truly, thank you.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am grateful that I am Trans. Despite how terrifying, complicated, expensive and difficult it can be. It has given me a home within a community. I found something I didn’t know was possible. I don’t think I would have had a opportunity to experience this level of love and support and so for that, I am eternally grateful and is why I continue to volunteer, support my community and i hope that once a qualified therapist, I can offer my services at a low cost to give back to those in positions just like me.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A little about me: I’m a queer, sober, disabled artist, advocate, events organiser, trainee counsellor, animal lover and nature goblin. I run a dog walking and pet sitting business, work on a city farm, organise queer community events, and provide disability advocacy on a voluntary basis, while also navigating debilitating complex chronic illness. Which is honestly a full time job in itself.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Because of my health, travelling abroad for cheaper surgery is no longer safe or viable. I need surgery in the UK with local post-op support, which means the costs are much higher than I originally planned for.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Fundraising has been beautiful and exhausting all at once. But being held by community in this way has healed parts of me I didn’t know needed healing.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Anything you can give, whether that’s donating, sharing, or simply reading this, means more than I can say.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I cannot wait to finally feel at home in my body.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Lots of love and hugs,
</div>
<div>Ro xx

Yeet the teet. LIFE SAVING GENDER AFFIRMING CARE ❤️

<div>Heya! My name is Sammy, a 27 year old Trans Woman fundraising for gender affirming care. I'm a Video Editor currently living in Hertfordshire.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I've been Transitioning since Feburary 2021, have been on HRT for 3 years and on the NHS waitlist for 4 years, and as we all know that's not even half of the expect time to be on it for.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Fundraising has always been an incredibly daunting prospect for me, yet I feel like I've exhausted every option before coming here, and believe me this is my last option. Learning to love myself &amp; my body has been a long and tiresome journey. I've been so lucky that my friends &amp; family have been incredibly supportive throughout my transition and have offered more than just a shoulder to cry on over the years, however I'm losing a hard battle with dysphoria and feeling like I've got nowhere to go, everyday has become a struggle to stay sane &amp; not focus on all my insecurities. So here I am! I understand that gender affirming care is not the answer to all my problems however It's a MASSIVE step in finally living in the body I have always dreamt of.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I have yet to confirm exact prices from some clinics, however this fundraiser will go specifically to supporting my Facial Feminisation fund. I'll lay out all my surgery options for everything I'm planning below as additional fundraising will go towards other gender affirming care options:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Surgery options - </strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong><em>FFS</em></strong>
</div>
<ul>
<li><em>Dr. Q. Qassemyar, Paris - </em>£11,000 including CT scan, anesthetician and travel costs
</li>
</ul>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Fundraising options - </strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Alongside this GoFundMe, I'll be raising money elsewhere through various events (Club nights, Football tournaments, Merch sales, etc). Any part time editing or consulting work will also be put into the surgery pot.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and read about my fundraiser, I'm not expecting donations from anyone but if you could take the time out of your day to share I would be SO appreciative :)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you from the bottom of my heart,
</div>

A's Gender Affirming Top Surgery

<div>I knew I didn't feel like a boy from 5 years old. It was a thought that took me a really long time to do anything about. Instead, I focused on almost anything else because it was painful and awkward to deal with. It felt ridiculous for that life to actually be possible, whereas there were so many other things I could do for myself.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I could get validation from being part of social groups. I could get better at playing sport. I could do well at school. I could build stuff in video games. Eventually, I realised that I was running from myself. That took a long time and definitely had its toll on multiple aspects of my life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The impact of coming out was so positive and I tried to let that fuel my attitude to my future.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In the back of my mind, I always knew that I wanted surgery, but it wasn’t within my reach financially and I didn’t feel able to ask anyone for support. I focused on what I could control — I put lots of time into my career and financial literacy, into building relationships and into sport, thinking that now I was myself, these things were what I needed to do in order to live well.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But I’ve realised that I’ve been running again.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Gender dysphoria and making surgery decisions is exhausting because it keeps coming back, no matter how much I try to rationalise it away. Since puberty, I’ve felt deeply uncomfortable with parts of my body and with the masculine traits other people reflect back at me with their words and actions. Even now, although I’m living more fully as myself, there are still physical characteristics that make me deeply uncomfortable and remind me that I wasn’t able to transition sooner. The feeling I get is best described as 'sick', like something terrible has just happened — I think grief in a way.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I keep trying to convince myself I can live without gender-affirming care, but that feeling returns very quickly. Living in this loop is exhausting. I just want to feel comfortable in my own skin and to see an external representation of how I feel internally. To see in the mirror who I know myself to be.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’ve had a really great year on paper. I’ve taken part in a lot of advocacy and in the queer community more broadly. I’ve been really enjoying my job and the projects I get to work on. I’ve been doing my best to keep participating in football despite being banned by the FA, playing with Millwall Romans, Goal Diggers FC &amp; Bayern Munchies. But I realised recently that all of these things, much like when I was closeted, still have a huge element of external validation that is nothing to do with my gender dysphoria. They matter to me, of course, but they're applying gauze to a wound that needs medicine. Now that I’m acknowledging what the problem really is, I am starting to no longer enjoy those things I’ve used to patch over the problem.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Over the last few years, I’ve learned to trade while freelancing and working a full-time job. I’ve done absolutely everything that I can. I am almost never doing nothing. I barely stop. But I’m extremely tired and ready to admit its manifesting in my life and it isn’t sustainable. I’ve cut back on my out of work responsibilities, which has helped, but the catch22 is that without support it means no surgery for a very long time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It’s very hard for me to post this. I can’t tell you how desperately I wanted to be able to afford this care myself. Anyone who knows me will know I struggle to accept someone getting me so much as an uber, a speck next to asking everyone I know (and more) to help realise one of the biggest moments of my life. I don't think anyone should be embarrassed to ask for support in a country where trans care waitlists are a decade long and wealth disparity is so high, yet I do feel embarrassed. But I feel like I’m at a point in my life where I need to ask for help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The surgeries which I have researched are with very reputable surgeons and have been recommended to me also. I have some of the fees required, but I’m still quite short, including making sure a friend can come to stay with me.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>You might be reading this not understanding much about trans issues, all I can say is if you choose to donate, you’re helping me move much closer to feeling comfortable in myself. I am so vehemently sure of that and I am so grateful for you. Thank you. Truly.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Love,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>

Top Surgery & migration Fundraiser

<div>UPDATE JANUARY 2025:
</div>
<div>Hello everyone! I just wanted to give a bit of an update as well as a great big thank you to everyone who helped me be it through Donations, support and sharing this fundraiser in general!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On the 2nd of January this year I was was finally able to have my top surgery which was a success. Before I spoke about how I wanted to breath easy and to not be thinking about my chest 24/7. Since this day though its all I have been able to think about and how much this was the right decision for me.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I have never felt happier about myself. The love from those closest to me have kept me warm during the hardest parts of recovery and the quiet moments in the weeks that have followed have helped me work out what the next steps of my life post surgery will be.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I have now closed the fundraiser as I am no longer seeking funds for this part of my transition. I am, however, leaving the page active as a tool for future transfolks to use as a starting point template for their own top surgery as I know when I came to writing mine I wasn't quite sure where to begin.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>(My only request is please do not copy word to word but rather as a starting place to share your experiences as your own)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you to everyone who has donated and sending everyone lots of love and good energy for 2025!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>All the best,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Dean / Dandy
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>[Original post]
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hi all!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is Dean (They/Then) and I am asking for your help today to try and raise some funds towards my top surgery fundraiser!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Having come into my trans identity in later life, I have decided to kick my 30’s off in style and formally start my transition (with my current main focus being top surgery!)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>All my life I have had a lot of discomfort around my chest as it's quite large which for me makes binding extra difficult. Recently it has become more of an issue with it being the first thing I feel when I wake up, the only thing I see when I step out the door and now stopping me doing things I love such as exercise and going to the beach. This has begun to impact my mental health negatively and after spending the first quarter of my life in discomfort I want my 30’s to be a time of living and not just putting up with things.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I want to breathe easy. I want to be happy when I look in the mirror and not dissociate. I want my body to reflect who I am and the joy I have found in other areas of my life in recent years. I want to take what I used to consider the biggest form of hurting myself and turn it into what it actually is, which is doing the kindest thing for me long term. It's taken along time to know that I don't need validation from others that my identity is who I am at a core and I want to live by the ethos that has gotten me through my life in all aspects - “Choose Joy”
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>THE NITTY GRITTY!</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>At the start of the year I had originally planned to fully fund this process through my drag king persona of Dandy Issues, however, this month I have had a sudden change in living circumstances meaning that it is no longer possible to achieve this.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Most private surgeries providing Top surgery within the UK range between £8-10K alongside additional costs such as appointment fees and after care on top. I am hoping to raise <strong>£8000</strong> from GoFundMe to help with topping up what I have already saved for the surgery.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Anything else on top of that raised for me will go towards other forms of gender affirming, which will primarily be counselling to practical support through this process, changing my name formally through a deed poll, getting all my important documents in my new name.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Times are hard and I know that we are all essentially passing round the same five pound note but if you do have any change, or can help in any way I would be very grateful!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Sending everyone who donates lots of love and good energy their way!

<div>Hey, my name is Louie I’m a 26 year old transman/dyke who is trying to save towards being able to afford top surgery.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><span>I currently bind 24/7 which costs me a fair amount in binding tape. I don’t really take breaks anymore because it makes me feel dysphoric. I had kind of given up on getting top surgery mentally because it felt so out of reach.</span><br />
</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>I am asking for help towards surgery costs so that I can make this possible for me.

<div>I am really grateful for anything you can give, if you’re a trans person please don’t feel a need to contribute to this.

YEET THE TEET

<div>Dear friends,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am writing to ask for your help and support in raising funds for my transition. My name is Zhuanxu, a Chinese trans woman currently living in the UK and pursuing my PhD in Humanities. The process of accessing gender-affirming treatments, such as hormone replacement therapy (HRT), is long and arduous. I am compelled to eschew the NHS GIC waiting list and turn to private provision. As you may know, transitioning is a long and expensive process, and unfortunately, I am facing significant financial barriers in accessing the care and support I need.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As a PhD student, I live on a tight budget, and I simply cannot afford the costs of HRT, laser hair removal, and other transition-related expenses. These costs can quickly add up, and without your help, I may not be able to access the care that I need to be in a physical presence that I feel comfortable with. Transitioning is a profoundly personal and meaningful journey, and I am determined to see it through. I believe that every trans person deserves to live as their comforting self, and I am asking for your support in helping me to achieve that goal. Your donations will go towards covering the costs of psychiatric examination (this is, sadly, the process I have to go through in my chosen private pathway), endocrinology consultation, HRT prescription, gender-affirming surgeries, and other related expenses.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I recognise that many of us are having a horrendous time in the face of inflation and the rising cost of living. I, however, unfortunately, and reluctantly, have to resort to the community's help. If you are able to donate, your support will be greatly appreciated. And if you cannot donate at this time, I would be grateful if you could share my campaign with your friends and family to help spread the word.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you so much for your support and for helping me make my transition a reality. With your help, I can live my life as my wishful gendered self and continue to pursue my academic goals.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Sincerely,
</div>

Zhuanxu’s Transition Fund

<div>Dear friends
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I hope you're doing well
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is Aubrey, I'm reaching out as a transgender woman from China, currently navigating the early stages of my transition and facing challenges both financially and in daily life. I seek support to restart my life and continue my transition, covering costs for procedures like Facial Feminization Surgery, Voice Feminization Surgery, and acquiring essential medications like estrogen injections. This includes funds for medical check-ups and related healthcare expenses.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This dream has been with me for a decade. Ten years ago, starting my transition seemed impossible in an environment that lacked awareness of transgender concepts. Even my parents, like many, were queerphobic, leaving me scared and without resources. It was only in London, amidst a supportive queer community, that I found the courage to embrace my true self and officially start my transition.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Returning to Shanghai, I encountered transphobia, lost friends, and faced financial withdrawal from my parents Now in the early stages of my transition, seeking your help, regardless of the amount, means the world to me
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With these funds I will be able to overcome my gender dysphoria, the money will be used for Laser Hair Removal, Facial and Voice Feminisation Surgery, and acquiring necessary medications in Thailand.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your support would be life-changing for me ♥️
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Due to internet restrictions in China, I can’t access the GoFundMe platform directly. With the help of my dear friend Pierre, who is managing this fundraiser for me, I’m truly thankful for the support network that has come together. Thank you for being part of my journey!

Help Aubrey continue her transition journey

<font color="#333333">Hey beautiful people, <br /><br />So I am putting my pride aside and coming to the people because it’s been a long time coming and I feel like it’s time I really start taking my life serious and doing all the things I promised myself at the beginning of this year and take my transition to the next level and as much help as I’ve given myself I’m reach out to y’all because this journey has been harder than ever.<br /><br />Last year April, I had been assigned to a gender affirming clinic and they had been giving me my hormonal therapy and also they gave me a list of surgery doctors to choose from but that was only for the gender reassignment surgery. Earlier this year I had found out from my gender clinic they they had cut all the funding towards surgery for transgender women which is completely unfair because trans men can get every surgery they want for free on the NHS so that set me back like crazy.<br /><br />I also wanted my surgery to be as natural as possible so I continued to take my hormones so it could allow me to be eligible for any form of surgery as instructed by my doctor so after speaking to him a week ago he told me I’m ready to get the surgery I want.<br /><br />I had been looking for alternatives and I found that I could possibly migrate to Amsterdam but even then, the surgery is free but they put you on a waiting list which can take years before you get accepted and if I’m honest I don’t have years. Then I also found that I could move to New York but without a visa and a citizenship all that is clipped. It’s hard enough as it is dealing with gender dysphoria but also dealing with the fact that it feels so close but so far… it’s not the best headspace to be in all the time.<br /><br />One thing I don’t like doing is asking for help but sometimes it’s more than just me. I can’t do everything by myself and it’s taken me a while to realise this because trust me if I could do everything I would.<br /><br />All is accepted and appreciated as every little helps and I am highly grateful for each and every individual that can help.</font>

<div>My name is Bambi Jordan Phillips (she/her)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’m setting up this GoFundMe to seek support for my gender-affirming care, which is currently extremely inaccessible in the UK. Up until now, I’ve kept much of my journey private, but I’ve reached a point where the support of my community would be greatly appreciated.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It’s daunting to share this so publicly, but after working hard on myself, I feel ready and recognise that I’m at a point where I urgently need support.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As a freelance artist, my financial situation is precarious, and the cost of gender-affirming healthcare can exceed tens of thousands of pounds. Since beginning my medical transition in 2022, I’ve paid for consultations both at home and abroad, and I’ve self-funded as much of my healthcare as possible.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>However, the total amount needed for the procedures I require is £30,000.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The funds raised will go toward essential gender-affirming healthcare, including facial feminisation surgery, gender recognition certificates, updated passport and documents and laser hair removal.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We all know the challenges of fighting against multiple oppressive structures and systems, and it’s easy to feel isolated or that we must struggle in silence. This GoFundMe is my way of pushing back against that and asking for help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The support I receive will help me navigate the violence I face every day as a black trans womxn.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’d also like to acknowledge my privilege living in the UK and ability to take steps towards self determination.
</div>

Bambi's Transition Surgery Fund

<div>My beautiful mother, Tania, was diagnosed with cancer in December last year and has been out of work since then, coming up on 10 months now. Up until this month, she has sustained herself on holiday pay that she accrued over 10+ years at her minimum wage job.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>She has been informed by her oncologist that she will be out of work until February 2025 - though her accrued holiday pay ends this September, leaving her with no income. She was also hit with an unforeseen $200 (£100) increase in rent last May, which could not have come at a worse time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With no savings or assets to fall back on, my mother requested early access to her superannuation, though this has still not been anywhere near enough to cover her cost of living and will leave her with even less to fall back on in ongoing years. Her expenses amount to roughly $3000 (£1,500) a month for rent, bills, groceries and medical related costs. I have set the fundraising goal to $20,000 (£10,000) to support her through her time out of work. It would be a dream to come anywhere close to that.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Everything I am is down to my unique, hilarious, kind, and fabulous mother, who worked tirelessly to raise myself and my two sisters on her own amidst years of abuse at the hands of my now absent father. She is my biggest inspiration, best friend and ultimately a woman who deserves a good life. She is 62 years old, she lives alone and currently has no financial support available. It breaks my heart to see the unnecessary suffering she has endured and I would do anything to ease some of the stresses of her current situation.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>While it has been an absolutely crushing year since we have known about my mother’s cancer, it has frustrated me to see that there has been very little to no financial support from the government she pays taxes to, nor the workplace that she has given over a decade of her life to. After she fights this uphill battle, I would adore for my mother to actually be able to take some of the holiday she worked so hard to attain over the last decade.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My mum doesn’t know I’m putting this together as she would find it very difficult to acknowledge that we are at a point of needing to ask for help. It would mean the world to provide her some financial stability, so that she has one less thing to worry about through this extremely difficult time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am aware of the cost of living crisis and hardship many people are currently facing and respect that not everyone is in a position to help out. Any amount donated would mean the world to me.
</div>

<div>Thank you for taking the time to read through this ❤️

Helping My Mum Through Her Battle with Cancer

Sam's Top Surgery!

Hi, I’m Elton :)
<br /><br /> I’ve started this gofundme to raise money for my gender affirming top surgery. <br /><br /> Health care provision for transgender individuals in the UK is in a state of crisis; waitlists are years long, and the current political and social climate is only creating more and more barriers to access for life-saving, gender-affirming care. Many politicians and doctors are actively resistant to providing care to trans people who desperately need support to be themselves. Getting care on the NHS is a game of chance and extreme patience just to make incremental progress, and can be taken away at any point.
<br /><br /> Because of this, I’ve been pursuing my health care through private clinics where necessary, which brings a far greater level of security - but at a cost.

I’ve been on HRT for 6 months - the positive impact of this has been indescribable. But my dysphoria with my chest means I still struggle to feel comfortable or confident in my body. I have constant back and shoulder pain from binding, even with breaks and high quality binders. Sitting in the sun, swimming, wearing tight clothing are just some of the things that I can’t really do without experiencing constant distress. It’s become even clearer that I won’t be able to live fully as my self until I can undergo surgery. <br /><br /> I’m in the process of scheduling a consultation for surgery, and I’m estimating that the cost of the whole process including weeks off work will be around £11,500. Working hospitality in London doesn't make saving easy and getting to this point has drained a lot of my savings. Of course what I can save, will be put towards surgery and its surrounding costs, which is why I’ve set the goal a little lower than my estimate.<br /><br /> So all that being said…. ANY support you can offer to get me closer to finally being at home in my body, would be so, so appreciated, as I know not many people can spare much at the moment.<br /><br /> Thank you for reading, it means the world. <br /><br />Take care, Elton xxx
