I am Angeleah, most people know me as Leah. I am the mother of 3 little girls. I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of my daughter Jazlynn. In April 2021 we all went to a trampoline park. She broke her fibula and tibia bone. Over time her bone didn’t heal correctly.
Over the years thousands of dollars have been spent traveling to different specialists, hospital stays, and over all adjustments to her fragile right leg.
In January of this year (2025) Jazlynn is finally diagnosed with Gorham- Stout disease.
Jazlynn with Gorham-Stout disease has experience gradual bone loss (osteolysis) caused by an abnormal overgrowth of lymphatic vessels. These vessels are a normal part of the body’s lymphatic system, which transports a clear fluid containing white blood cells called lymph around the body to help clear toxins and waste. In patients with Gorham-Stout, these thin-walled lymphatic vessels expand (dilate) and multiply, leading to the rapid breakdown of bone (bone resorption).
In children and young adults, bone resorption is a normal process of bone growth, in which new bone replaces old.
For those with Gorham-Stout, the overgrown lymphatic vessels may change the balance of bone formation and loss, leading to loss of bone and presence of lymphatic vessels where bone used to be.
Gorham-Stout disease is sometimes called vanishing bone disease or idiopathic or progressive massive osteolysis.
With this being stated Jazlynn has undergone many surgeries to correct her leg. Now she currently has an external fixator on her right leg and is in pain daily. She is on Chemotherapy medication and needs bone infusions and the costs of everything is incredibly expensive. This gofundme will go towards all of her medical expenses, living expenses and medications as they are asking for some payments upfront. I’m not one to ask for help but we found ourselves in a place that now we are stuck. I am currently Jazlynns caretaker 24/7 as her orthopedic surgeon ordering her to be homeschooled for this school year for her healing. She has appointments 3-4 times a week seeing different specialists as they keep a close eye on her. Gorham stout has no cure. Jazlynns bone are diminishing and without proper care her right leg will not get any stronger to heal.
With no family support and father no longer with us as he is in ICE custody I am the primary breadwinner and caretaker for my girls
Thank you all in advanced to help my daughter out. I am putting my pride aside as a mother to do what I can do for the well being of my child. God bless everyone. I know times are hard for everyone at the moment. Thank you for praying and helping Jazlynn fight this horrific disease. You all make her excited about life! ❤️
