<div>My son, Davion Flanagan, was a lifelong gifted athlete who was known for his infectious smile, kind heart, &amp; fierce commitment to friends &amp; family. Davion was a member of the Strongsville High School Football team &amp; served as the starting running back for the team during his graduating year in 2022. He loved sports of all kinds &amp; typically excelled at any sport that he tried. In addition to football, Davion competed in various sports year-round such as track, baseball, basketball, &amp; swimming. He ultimately focused his efforts around his love for football. He loved being part of the team, the physical challenge of being a running back, &amp; enjoyed every moment spent under the bright lights of the stadium. However, there were several summers when Davion successfully balanced grueling football practices in addition to serving as a much-loved volunteer coach for younger athletes in our local summer swim league. He was a true Strongsville Mustang at heart.

<div>Davion also had artistic talent &amp; a passion for cutting hair. He enjoyed styling his own hair &amp; was known for giving himself, friends, &amp; teammates cool, fresh cuts. Davion planned to pursue barber school &amp; dreamed of opening his own barber shop in the future. He was working full-time after finishing high school to save money &amp; was in the process of applying to Allstate Hairstyling &amp; Barber College in Cleveland, OH with the goal of attending the Fall 2023 barber program.

<div>Sadly, Davion was unable to fulfill his dream because his life was tragically taken from him. Davion died, along with his friend Dominic Russo, on 7/31/22. They were victims in a horrific car crash. The driver of that vehicle, Mackenzie Shirilla, has since been tried &amp; found guilty of murdering both Davion &amp; Dominic. She has been sentenced to serve 2 concurrent life sentences &amp; is eligible for parole in 15 years.

<div>It all started in May 2024. Little did we know, during those cherished family trips and fun-filled work drinks, that a beast was quietly growing in James’s brain. This beast grew so large that one day, James forgot who he was and who his loved ones were. I thought things couldn’t get worse, but they did—much, much worse.

<div>A few hours later, my world shattered when doctors told me that the mass in his brain was a tumour, and they needed to remove it immediately, or he wouldn’t make it. My heart broke as I wondered, <em>“What am I going to tell our children?”</em>

<div>Three days later, after the swelling in his brain was reduced, they operated. We waited in agony for what felt like a lifetime. Then, two weeks later, we received the news that would forever change our lives. It was a terminal glioblastoma, a deadly brain tumour, and they gave James only 15 months to live.

<div>I can never fully explain the wave of pain that tore through me in that moment. Together 4 James: Fighting Glioblastoma, One Step at a Time

Thank you for clicking on lil’ ol me. I need your help, internet stranger! Grab a coffee or tea or something, and prepare to hear yourself quite a tale! In the spring of 2020, I was infected with COVID-19 and became severely ill. I went on to develop the Post Acute Sequelae of Covid, or PASC (often described in the media and online as “Long Covid.”) PASC has impacted every single aspect of my life. Some greatest hits of the past few years include &amp; crashing/coding in the hospital from cardiac arrest, being on stroke watch with blood clots and an arterial dissection in my brainstem, occasionally needing an assistive device to safely ambulate, and needing an expensive chemotherapy/immunotherapy infusion every 8 weeks in order to stand, move, and walk. Before my COVID infection, I lived with a brain injury as a result of a pulmonary embolism-related stroke caused by a rare genetic autoimmune condition. The post acute sequelae of covid has further weakened my already tenuous health. Along with intense pain, fatigue, heart problems, GI issues, and neurological damage, Long Covid also causes its own intense mental health complications. The depression, anxiety, and dissociation as well as the complete disruption of my central nervous and autonomic systems are utterly crippling. Sometimes it is all I can do to keep fighting. The only thing worse than dealing with this terrible disease is knowing there is an entire political and social movement dedicated to pretending people like me don’t exist. We do, and I do, and I’ve been struggling. I’ve spent roughly a year and a half of the last three years in the hospital. I check in with multiple specialists month to month. My medical bills have completely surpassed my ability to cope with them. I am receiving disability- but as many people are now experiencing- my benefit was cut by about 500 dollars back in January. I am also owed over 4, 000 in back disability payments, which I have yet to see. I have been unsuccessful in my attempts to mediate with the benefit offices, and I am now legitimately afraid further action on my behalf will result in a loss of what little I am able to receive. Since April of 2020, I have needed physical therapy, occupational therapy, home nursing, monthly and bi monthly infusions, oodles of expensive medications and tests with intermittent insurance coverage. I’ve dealt with all of this while “recovering “ at home between frequent hospitalizations. I put that word in quotes because there is no known cure for Long Covid, especially when the patient has very serious pre-existing conditions and disabilities. It’s anyone’s guess how I’ll be feeling on any given day or week. This makes work and working very difficult. I perform and work as a vocal coach when I can, but there are times when I’m unable to work for days, weeks, or even months at a stretch. Such is the nature of Long Covid. I will ALWAYS strive to coach and gig as much as I am able- but there is a limit to what I can handle on my own right now- and as much as I hate to ask for it - I need help. The amount of money that I am asking for will cover the aforementioned amount that I have yet to receive– and may never receive– in back disability. It also will cover the amount that was taken out of my benefit payments these last few months. I will use these funds for medication, hospital bills, transportation to and from appointments, and probably to pay a portion of my rent that my current fixed disability income does not cover. In addition to my 3 year unpaid gig as a full time Long Hauler, I am also a cabaret singer, actor, and writer. My art has helped me in my journey to heal- and time spent not tearing my hair out over how to make ends meet means more time to make art when my body allows. Moving forward Jazzlyn will need to start Chemotherapy treatments and continued testing.

Please Help With Jazzy's Cancer Journey

<div>Hey, it’s the Howards here. Our sweet dog Munson has recently been diagnosed with a form of cancer called Osteosarcoma. A little over a month ago we found out he had developed a tumor along his hind leg bone. After seeing multiple specialists it has been decided our best route to treat is an amputation followed by chemotherapy. The costs associated with these treatments put a family in the uncomfortable position of putting a cost on the love of your fur baby. Munson has been a great big brother to Knox and a special part of our family for 8 years, his warming smile always welcoming us home.  Obviously we don’t love being in the position to ask for help, but every little bit counts.

Garrett was diagnosed in September of 2021 at the age of 20 just as he was beginning his 3rd year of college and had to immediately stop his classes and responsibilities as an RA and start chemotherapy for the unique combination of Hodgkin lymphoma and nodular lymphocyte predominant Hodgkin lymphoma. All funds will be used to help Garrett and his parents with the cost of medical bills from chemo, testing that will need to be done regularly and all other medical expenses. Garrett is everyone’s favorite in our family and is our sweet, funny, smart and helpful one. He has an extra special place in my heart and can use all the help he can get in this difficult time in his young life. </font>

She’s building her very own agency to provide full-time services to people with limited mobility and the brain-differences that make independent living a challenge. She will provide a place to live, meals, shower support etc. After years of running an agency, and personally providing care services, she has a wealth of knowledge on how to do this right. She wants her agency to be small enough to be compassionate, large enough to be resilient, and steadfastly committed to humanity, care, and dignity. Her résumé and personal experiences demonstrate she’s equipped for this challenge.<br /><br />She talks about a “disruption in our linage” because our mother’s life ended when we were young and because our father hasn’t been a stable and present source of any type of support. On April 11th, our 20-year-old son, Daunte Wright Sr., was fatally shot and killed by a Brooklyn Center police officer during a routine traffic stop. The Daunte Wright Sr. Memorial Fund

Help Our Dad Fight Cancer!

Hello friends and family.  My name is Jake Lautt. My family is raising money for my beautiful mother, Deneane Lautt. She suddenly became very ill and has been fighting for her life for days. All of the money raised will go to medical expenses and if needed funeral expenses. She has no life and no health insurance. <br /><br />A week ago I took my mother to the hospital for abdominal pain. They ran some tests and they determined the cause of her pain was something that multiple teams of doctors, nurses, and surgeons have never seen before. They checked medical journals and they have found similar situations, but nothing like this. I was told that my mother is the sickest person in the entire hospital. <br /><br />It is Saturday afternoon that I’m writing this. She has been in the hospital since Wednesday.  Her heart stopped beating on Wednesday night, and they brought her back. She went into emergency surgery and I was told that my mom was not going to make it. She survived. Later that night her heart stopped again. They brought her back and the amazing teams of surgeons came in and sat my family down and said “She has less than two hours. If her heart stops again do you want us to let her go?” We said “No, do everything possible.” So she went into another emergency surgery. I was told once again that she was not going to survive, but she did. She is a fighter. She is a warrior. She is making progress. Her next surgery is scheduled for Sunday. <br /><br />My mother is still extremely sick and the prognosis is still very dim. Every surgeon said it’s a miracle she has made it to this point, but anyone who knows my mom knows that she is a fighter. She is a warrior. She will continue to fight until the very end. <br /><br />My mother has the biggest heart that I know. She has sacrificed everything in her life to give to myself and my brother. Her selflessness and her nurturing will never be forgotten. Her world truly revolves around her two sons. I am so blessed to call her my mother and I would do anything in the entire world to see her happy and healthy again.<br /><br />Any donation is much appreciated. Deneane Lautt Medical Expenses

Kayden was murdered by her biological father.  Kayden's mother trusted that the law and the court system would work for her daughter's best interests.  However, the system failed and she was taken too soon.  Kayden's mother was told to trust the process, but the door was slammed in her face time after time.<br /><br />Kayden's biological father had a violent and storied history yet the courts still allowed for modified visitation.  Kayden was dropped off at her father's house on Saturday, August 4th and never returned home.<br /><br />Kayden's step father found her with no help of the Philadelphia police department.  Again, when they reached out to the police after she was never returned home, they were told that "she was probably just out with her father," and that they were unable to do anything without a warrant.  Following their instincts, her step father and grandfather went back to the house of her biological father and found her lifeless body.<br /><br />Nothing can bring back this vibrant, outgoing, loving child.  Kayden excelled at every activity she was involved in.  Kayden recently made the Pennsville U10 softball team as a 7-year old.  Kayden excelled in soccer, gymnastics and basketball.  She was taken too soon and will never have the chance to lead the life she was meant to live. <br /><br />We are asking for help for Kayden's funeral expenses.  No mother should have to bury her 7-year old daughter under these circumstances.  We are all in Kayden's Korner.  No child should be left with a parent who has such a storied and violent history.  We need to keep Kayden in our memories and keep her spirit alive.

He was first taken to Stockton, then Bakersfield, and is now in custody at the Mesa Verde ICE Processing Facility. Mesa Verde is a Geo-Group facility, which makes Sandy's friends and loved ones worried for his health, safety, and well-being.

 Originally from London, Sandy has lived in Philadelphia since 2016, where he met and married his true love, Jennifer. In 2018, they moved to Las Vegas temporarily, and began the application process for his green card. Sandy initially came to the United States on a work visa and was subsequently approved for an ESTA under the Visa Waiver Program. Sandy has been employed in the lighting industry since 2002, and his reputation as a diligent, conscientious, &amp; productive worker precedes him.

 In 2020, Jennie's I-30 application was approved on Sandy's behalf, after which they completed all of the necessary paperwork and paid the required fees for his green card. In 2021, Sandy began work as a project manager for a company specializing in lasers and special effects, and he and Jenny moved back to Philadelphia. Their lawyer believes that due to the chaos of the COVID-19 pandemic and their relocation between the West &amp; East Coasts, Sandy's paperwork was lost in the mail.

 Sandy arrived in the United States legally and through all of the necessary channels. What he and his family are being put through right now is unjust and inhumane. Jennie has just paid a lawyer a retainer fee of $3,000 and was informed that the total cost of legal fees and of resubmitting the necessary documents for Sandy to stay in this country will be $18,815.00. Additionally, Sandy needs commissary funds during his detention, as well as legal help ensuring that friends and family are able to visit and speak with him regularly and that his health is being properly monitored. Sandy will also need help with transport after his release, and he and Jennie will need support after he comes home.
