Please join me in helping take some of the financial burden off our precious friend, Leanna Reed Clemmons, as she makes final plans that none of us wish she and Mitch had to make.  Leanna is a true hero to many ladies all over the country who, like her, are battling breast cancer.  She is a warrior and has fought hard for a long time.  Many of you have graciously helped Leanna and Mitch along the way through a separate GoFundMe page with donations for their medical and travel expenses.  This page is for help with her final expenses.  Leanna was relatively young when she received the diagnosis and has no life insurance.  We have set the fundraising goal at a level that hopefully will cover her funeral expenses.  My prayer is that we can make her days brighter by taking this financial burden off her shoulders as hospice assists her with her physical needs.  If you are not in a position to give financially, I'm sure she would be honored to have you pray for her, Mitch, Jordan, and the rest of her family.  Please share. No person expects to outlive their child, but unfortunately, death is a reality.  However, no parent should ever have to endure their child's life taken away from them at the hands of violence.  In the late night hours of 3/1/2016, the lives of KJ Freeman's family were turned upside down upon the discovery that their beloved 19 year old was brutally murdered in Tuscumbia, AL.  Friends of the family have set up a Go Fund Me account to assist with burial arrangements due to this tragedy.  All funds will go directly to KJ's parents for funeral expenses.  Any donation, no matter how small would be greatly appreciated.

Funeral Expenses for KJ Freeman

I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast cancer in September of 2011.   I have had chemo, a double mastectomy, and more chemo.  I am Stage IV and have recently reached a point that the current chemo I was surviving on became too hard on my body.  After a month long break, a PET scan revealed I had progression in existing spots as well as a few new spots showed up.  So, I am about to begin a clinical trial (IMMU- 132).  While we do have insurance (THANK GOD),  it doesn't cover everything.  Co-pays, drugs, travel expenses, etc...  As much as I hate to ask for help,  sometimes it is necessary.  I know times are hard on everybody, so if you can't afford anything financially, please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as they mean just as much.  Thank you in advance! Help relieve some financial stress

I thought I'd never hear the words "You have cancer" again.  At 19, I had Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Three months of daily radiation and it was gone.   Then, in September of 2011, I went for a mammogram, then a biopsy.  The next thing I know, I was diagnosed with Stage IV Triple Negative Breast Cancer. I was 39.  I became a patient of Vanderbilt Breast Center, where I had chemotherapy, surgery and more chemotherapy. I went 5 months "cancer free" then got some devastating news after a PET scan. The cancer had spread to my chest wall, spine and kidney.  At this point, we are just praying it stays stable and doesn't spread. Would I like to hear the words "cancer free" again ?  Of course.  I would love to go back to my old life and not worry about every ache and pain.  I basically live from PET scan to PET scan, which are scheduled every 3 months. We have insurance (thank goodness) but it doesn't cover everything 100%.  There are co-pays, prescription costs, travel expenses, overnight stays for PET scans &amp; doctor visits.  Cancer isn't cheap and it all adds up. Money we use for medical expenses takes away from money used for living expenses.  We have tried to cut down on some extras, but having a teenager still at home, I try not to disrupt things any more than they have been already. As a friend told me today.. asking for help is hard but drowning in debt when you're sick is harder.  I am posting this for those that have offered to help but didn't know how.  Even $5 helps. I know times are hard for everybody, so if you can't help financially, then I ask you to please continue to pray for me &amp; my family.  Knowing I'm in your thoughts and prayers mean so much.
