<div>On March 18 at 8:22 pm, I had to make a 911 call that would change our life forever. My husband, <strong>Victor Juncaj</strong>, thought he had a flu bug, with a dull headache and fever for a few days prior. Until the 18th, when he took a nap, and after checking in on him every 15 minutes, hydrating him, and monitoring his low-grade temp, he suddenly became unresponsive to any of my attempts to wake him or get any sign of consciousness besides breathing on his own. My 4-year-old daughter would not leave her father's side and could not understand how he couldn’t wake up to her cries. 911 could not wake him and immediately took him to the ER. After 4 hours of being unable to see him or speak to anyone regarding his situation, I was sent home. On my way almost out the door, an angel, a doctor from the ER, grabbed me and asked me what the last week was like for Victor. I mentioned he tripped on stairs, hitting his head while carrying too many groceries two weeks ago. I included the fevers, the headaches, the tiredness, and this doctor went back and did an emergency CT. All after 4 hours of them letting him sit there and wait without us seeing him or even a doctor seeing him this Dr finally went back and took me seriously. I was called back to the hospital and told he has a hemorrhagic stroke/aneurysm, a very, very large brain bleed on the back left side, and would be having life-saving brain surgery within the next 30 minutes. <strong>At 6 am, we finally got to see him in post-op. The doctors said he was the most critical patient in the hospital.</strong> It is now March 26, and Victor has awoken with a long, long, long road ahead of him. He was diagnosed with MRSA and will have to, when strong enough, undergo open-heart surgery to replace his left aortic valve, which has the infection on it. Victor had been undergoing intense dental work over the last year, and they believe an infection spread and caused a large vegetation on his left valve. My husband has a long fight ahead: another brain surgery, open-heart surgery, and intense rehabilitation. He was a provider, an amazing father, and the love of my whole life. I am struggling without him, and I am terrified but must remain strong for my daughter and for him. My days are spent split between providing normalcy and comfort for our child and spending the majority of my day at the hospital, taking shifts with family so he is surrounded by love and support. <strong>I will do whatever I have to do to keep my family from losing more and to provide for us as long as it takes.</strong> I thank everyone for the love, positivity, prayers, and messages. We are extremely humbled by each and every one. Victor and I have never asked anyone for help for anything in our lives, and we built a beautiful life that has changed forever overnight. I cannot be ashamed to ask for help during this nightmare. Thank you for your support. You’ve been there with me each day since the early hours of the 19th and continue to provide your prayers and love daily. We will overcome this, and I will be by his side until he’s back home with us. We thank and love you all.

<div>Before this, Amara wasnt her usual Sassy and Spunky self. She had been getting sick frequently and was experiencing pain and fatigue severe enough to prompt a visit to the ER and then Children's Hospital.

<div>Amara is such a Rockstar. She had to have a bone marrow aspiration, a spinal tap, and she had a central line put in her chest so she wont have to be poked as much.

<div>She has started receiving treatment and was finally able to come home but has to be monitored closely and has many more doctor visits, chemo, spinal taps, and so much more ahead of her. She is going through so many emotions right now and the steroids are kicking her butt but she is doing well and her Mommy has helped her with learning to talk about her feelings and showing her breathing exercises to help her stress and anxiety levels. She has a great support system.

<div>This GoFundMe was created for the Rukaj family who have experienced so much grief within their lifetime. On March 11th, 1997 a heartbreaking tragedy happened to my cousin's Blerim and his family. Blerim and his brother Kastriot lived in a small village in Albania. The family lived on a farm and worked in the fields to make a living. The brothers were doing one of their daily duties which consisted of feeding sheep. While doing so they came across a bomb. Being kids and having no knowledge of what a bomb was the brothers decided to play with it. Kastriot was holding the bomb which exploded within seconds. Kastriot died immediately and Blerim became blind ever since. Blerim lost his best friend, lost his ability to see, and lost his childhood.

<div>Update: our family moved to Oklahoma to be closer to family and as of today Reagan has been put on hospice. We don’t know how much longer she has but she’s been in some really bad pain so they wanted to be able to manage it better and to keep her comfy and at home as much as possible. When Reagan did her make a wish she was so sick she didn’t really get to enjoy it. I would love to take her to the beach one last time to put her feet in the ocean. Thank you guys for everything.

<div>Reagan finished chemo and radiation but has been fighting the side effects of the treatment and not the cancer. Tumor is gone and there has been no growth thus far which is a blessing. But she has been in and out of the hospital for weeks at a time since February and we almost lost her a couple of times. She had a blood infection and a fungal infection on her lungs and had to have a couple of emergency surgeries to save her life. Just recently she had to have 4 teeth removed because she had one loose one and it kept bleeding because she had low platelets and had been in the hospital for the last week because of post op fevers.

<div>Reagan had her tumor removed the day after thanksgiving. She has been recovering really well. We have been waiting for pathology to come back and let us know what type of cancer it is. All we know is the tumor was aggressive. They were able to get all of the tumor. More than likely the day after Christmas or the beginning of the new year Reagan and I will be going to the Mayo Clinic down in Rochester Minnesota. Which is about 6 hours from our home so she can receive proton radiation therapy for 6 weeks and then possible chemo for another 6 weeks. I will not be able to work and my husband will have to stay behind to work but trying to pay the bills on one salary is almost nearly impossible. Also we will have a couple of medical bills that I will need to take care of before we can start radiation. Anything helps and is a blessing and we are very grateful of everyone.

<div>Reagan had been complaining of headaches for the last 6 weeks and as any parent you think it is just a headache- Not a tumor. She’s healthy otherwise. Over the weekend she was in so much pain and throwing up and losing her ability to move her left arm so I took her to the ER. I had to advocate for my daughter because they too were just going to brush it off as stress. But I’m her mother and knew at this point it was something deeper- still didn’t think a tumor. But I was finally able to get her an MRI and it showed a 6cm tumor on her right side of her brain. She is having it removed this week and then it will be sent to pathology to test for cancer. We will be in the hospital for the foreseeable future and we are 1.5 hours from home. James and I will be out of work who knows how long so we can be with our daughter. I hate asking for anything but I really don’t want to have to worry about bills if I don’t have to.

Hi. My name is Shannon and I’m setting up this GoFundMe for my daughter Maddison to help cover bills and expenses. Most of you already know Maddy from our autism awareness page on Tiktok Oh_Maddy. She was recently diagnosed with B cell lymphoblastic leukemia. My husband is currently the only one working right now and has been on light duty since the beginning of January due to a shoulder injury. His pay was decreased and will decrease even more once he has his surgery date and can no longer go to work. We will be making a lot of trips for her treatment sometimes daily her dr said. We will also have some hospital stays throughout the course of her treatment which was said to be 2 1/2 years from start to finish. We have 4 other kids at home that are also trying to do what they can to help out. This is the hardest thing we’ve ever had to deal with and it seems like it came on at the worst possible time. I hate that I even have to make this. I hate that Maddy has to go through this. We have such a long road ahead of us. I pray that everything goes smoothly for our babygirl and that we beat this. We are broken and holding ourselves together the best we can. Maddy is such a strong girl. We will take this on one day at a time. I just want to make sure everything is taken care of through this.
