This account is for the family of Coach Jed Lacey from Dawson County. He died in a car accident early morning on Saturday August 12, 2017. He was a long time resident of Dawson County, Special Ed teacher at the High School, Head Soccer Coach of both Boys and Girls High School Soccer Programs, and once was the Defense End for the High School Football Program.
What can you say about this man? He loved his players and students like he loved his own family. He treated each athlete and student like they were his own kids, and there was never a time that he was not a phone call away. I remember times he would feed his athletes, pay one of their bills, or was a father figure when needed. He was tough on his players, but they knew he loved them. He was the most decorated coach with the most state appearances at our school. He was a Christian, husband, father, teacher, dear friend, and community leader. Jed Lacey will be greatly missed.
This fund is set up for his family to help with funeral costs and other necessary expenses.
