Angel's Angels - Support Angel in her fight!

This is a fundraiser no one ever wants to have to create. Angel Finsrud has been a literal angel to so many, and she now needs as many people as possible to step in and help. This fundraiser is just one option of how you can help, but it's going to be a critical one. We know that number up there is a big one, but little drops can create a full bucket, and both Kevin and Angel will need financial and moral support going forward. Your donations will be used to ensure that Angel can access any medical treatment that might be helpful, without worrying about whether insurance moves fast enough. Your financial support will help an otherwise stubborn Angel to choose comfort and convenience over practical and economical, provide the funds for the family to spend as much time together as possible, even when it means some will travel often. Angel & Kevin's work has been and will continue to be abundantly supportive, but right now, work will necessarily take a back seat. Funds will help bridge the gap.

Our names are Chris Montrose and Kathy Peters. We recently received a call from 1/3 of our best friend trio, Angel, telling us that she has stage 4 cancerous masses in multiple areas of her body. We joke sometimes that if we had met as adults, it is highly unlikely we would have become as close as we are. Friendships that begin in childhood are similar to a marriage in that you each change and grow in different ways, and the ones that are built on a solid foundation weather the changes and become stronger as the years go by. Through all the highs and lows, you make a choice to get through together with plans to grow old together. We can't even begin to describe the number of big and small life events Angel has been a part of in our 35+ year friendship and the devastation of knowing that she may not physically be here for those yet to come.

Angel and Kevin have been married for 29 years, beating the odds of marrying and beginning their parenting journey young. They are a great example of what it means to show up for each other and learn and grow together while building a beautiful life. Their values have been exemplified in faith, family, and friends. They have been blessed to serve as part of their church community in so many ways. From their love and faith they have five amazing kids. Angel and Kevin have also loved many children through foster care. Angel comes from a beautiful family and has three sisters who have all learned from their parents, Buck and Cathy, how to truly appreciate family and celebrate life in all its craziness.
