Charity Game-Off for United Way NWA

United Way of Northwest Arkansas is a non-profit organization that seeks to unite communities and improve the lives of the residents within those communities. They focus in the areas of education, income, health, and providing essential needs to those without the means to pursue any of the above.
The University of Arkansas registered student group OGRE, or the Organization of Gaming and Recreational Events, sees the need for such an organization and desires to help them in whatever way we can. We have set the ambitious goal of raising $5,000 to donate to United Way with the aim of helping build a pathway out of poverty for NWA children.
To meet this goal, OGRE will be hosting a charity game-off Friday, April 22nd 2016, at the Student Technology Center in the UA Student Union. The event will last from 11am to 11pm, and feature three major tournaments (Super Smash Bros, League of Legends, and Hearthstone) and four minor tournaments (Mario Kart, FIFA 2016, NBA 2K15, and Street Fighter V). Food and beverages will be provided for the participants of the event, and prizes will be awarded to those victorious in the tournaments. Come out and enjoy the competition while you help children in poverty in our community!
If, for reasons of your own, find yourself unable to attend the event but still would like to help us reach our goal, then please consider donating to our cause. With your help, we can produce a better life for NWA children, and provide them the resources they need to pursue their road to greatness!
