Support Louisiana Wildlife!
Tax deductible
WERLA is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing sick, injured, or orphaned wildlife. In 2018 alone, WERLA has taken in, rehabilitated, and released over 1.000 animals. Volunteers and staff work tirelessly to ensure that the wildlife receive the highest quality of care possible throughout their rehabilitation process. This is achieved largely in part by generous donations from the community, grant money received, and fundraising events.
Currently, WERLA is being operated on private property. Over the past several years, the need for wildlife rehabilitation and education has tremendously increased. WERLA would like to expand into a larger facility that would provide the needed space and supplies for our growing organization. This would also allow easy access for the community to bring injured, sick, or orphaned wildlife to WERLA for rehabilitation. With a new public facility, members of the community would be able to visit with non-releasable animals and have access to educational information about Louisiana wildlife.
Thank you for your support! Together we can preserve the beauty of Louisiana wildlife!
