Spay/Neuter Stray Cats Greece

Donation protected
Myself (a veterinarian) and my friend Jessie Briley (a certified veterinary technician) went last year to the Greek Island of Antiparos to volunteer by providing veterinary services (sterilization and other basic veterinary care) to the many homeless cats and dogs that reside on the island. There are no local veterinarians currently operating on the island. We are going again this year!

Every day, many kittens and cats get drowned, placed alive in rubbish compactors, get thrown into the ocean etc. due to the overpopulation of cats. Our plan is to return annually to help sterilize these cats to assist with population control on the island.

The spay/neuter clinic is set to take place October 21st-27th 2018. We plan on sterilizing approximately 30 cats/day (taking into account the laid back Greek lifestyle which I'm looking forward to...), so that's over 200 cats hopefully!

I calculated that the cost to spay ONE cat and provide basic deworming etc. is only $5.  So even a small donation of $5 will make a difference to a kitty.

We are paying for our own travel and food expenses, so all donations go directly towards providing veterinary care for the animals.

Thank you!
