Molly's Bags for Foster Kids - 2019

Molly came to us as a Foster Child in 2015 with her belongings in a broken laundry basket. Over the course of the next few years leading up to her adoption by us, she expressed that she would like to change things so that other kids entering Foster Care wouldn't have to use a basket or trash bag to move their stuff if they have anything to move at all. She thought everyone should have a bag to pack their stuff in.
After learning about Together We Rise via a video we saw one night she knew she wanted to be involved in making a change to the way new kids enter Foster Care. In 2017 Molly raised $6070 towards care packages for foster kids and in 2018 she raised $4837. She also inspired over 150 people each year to come together to help decorate and pack these care packages. For 2019 Molly hopes to raise $10000 and with your help you can make that possible. Not only does she want to put together Care Packages in 2019 but she also wants to donate Bikes to local Foster Kids and group homes.
Each of Molly's Care Packages are a blue duffel bag that is decorated with drawings by volunteers. Then each bag is packed with a Teddy Bear, a Blanket, a Hygiene Kit, a Coloring Book, and a set of crayons with some free space left over to pack personal items.
That way no kid moves with nothing and each has a bag to call their own should they need to move multiple times.
